Bella sat on the couch, her head on Chad's chest, his arms wrapped securely around her shoulders. Mindy was laying down on the carpet with her legs up on the other end of the couch. None of them had spoken for the last hour. They didn't know what to say. Three dings went off from each of their pockets. Bella reached for her phone seeing that it was a text from Amber to the group chat. Apparently she was hosting a party at her house for the whole school as a remembrance of Wes.

"Do you guys want to go?" Mindy asked, sitting up. Chad just looked towards Bella, signaling that he would follow her lead. Bella ran through the pros and cons in her head. She thought throwing a house party was a little insensitive but it might be a good idea to be around large groups of people, especially if the killer was closing in on them.

"Yeah, why not. For Wes."

They went to get ready, when Bella remembered that she didn't have any clothes. Practically everything she owned was still at her house. The thought made her shiver. Mindy said she could borrow some of her clothes so that she didn't have to go dressed as a hobo. Bella rolled her eyes at the girl, but she knew Mindy was just trying to brighten the mood. After searching through Mindy's closet Bella decided on a pear of white jeans and a yellow tube top. She brushed her hair and gave Mindy room to get ready. She made her way back downstairs where Chad was waiting for them.

"Hey." He said as he noticed her approaching.

"Hey." She responded lightly. Chad opened his arms and Bella gladly stepped into his warm embrace. She loved his hugs, they were so comforting she could genuinely feel all of her worries start to slip away.

"Are you sure you want to go to this party? I will stay home with you of you don't want to go." He mumbled while placing a kiss on the top of her head.

"Your sweet, but I think it will be good for all of us to let loose a little. Besides I haven't seen Amber or Liv since-" She choked on her words "since Wes. I want to check up on them." Chad nodded started rubbing small circles on her back. Mindy finally came down, and they made their way to Ambers house.

As they drove up Ambers street they could already hear the music pounding. Bella couldn't imagine the neighbors were too thrilled about that. They parked on the street and began the walk up the long driveway. Chad slipped his hand in Bellas, making her smile up at him, she offered a reassuring squeeze as they stepped through the front door. Amber spotted them from the living room.

"Guys I'm so glad you could make it!" Bella noticed how strangely happy Amber looked. Maybe she was just trying to push past all of the trauma, or maybe it was the fact that she had never liked Wes in the first place. Whatever it was, it was throwing Bella off. "Why don't I get you guys a drink." She lead them into the kitchen, where a boy from her stats class started to pour them a shot.

"Keep pouring Wheeler. Thank you" Chad said as he scooped the shot out of Wheelers hand. "To Wes!" He shouted, the kids nearby returning the chant. "Beautiful son of a bitch." He finished under his breath, before throwing back the shot.

"Shots, really? This is supposed to be a memorial." Amber chided him

"Yeah Amber amber a rager makes for a great memorial." Bella replied sarcastically. Amber shot her a look that Bella couldn't lie made her uneasy. Something was up with Amber tonight and Bella did not like it.

"Well, this is how I distract myself from the looming specter of Death." Chad said before taking another shot. Bella laughed and muttered idiot as he threw his arm around her again and lead her back into the living room. They found a beer pong table and started to set up a game with two of their nearby classmates.
