The next morning, Lexie woke up to find Mark's arms still wrapped around her waist tightly. God, how she had missed this. His touch, his smell, and his warm breath against her skin. She felt like she was finally home again.

Feeling her move slightly woke him up as well. He planted a kiss on her shoulder. "Good morning." She could hear him smiling without even having to turn around.

"Morning." she replied happily. "Do you want some coffee?"

"Or we can just stay in bed?" he suggested in a flirty tone.

"You know I would love that more than anything, but I have to go to work." she explained sadly.

He groaned but accepted it, so they both got up.
"I'm going to take a shower. If you're hungry, just look in the fridge. There might be something edible in there." Lexie informed him.

"Or... I could join you?" Mark smirked. And by the look she shot him, he figured it was a consent.

After showering, they both had to hurry up. "This took way too long." Lexie laughed.

"Oh, but it was good." "So good." They shared a quick kiss before she was on her way to the door.

"Wait. I'm coming with you!" he shouted.

"Are you?"

"I'm not going to give you one second of free space. You brought that upon yourself, Little Grey."

She smiled. She hadn't heard that nickname in years and that was already the second time he used it now.

"Okay."

Then they left the building and went to the small parking lot on the side. The second Mark realised that they were going for the black motorcycle, his eyes lit up with excitement. "You're kidding?"

"Nope. But I'm driving!" she replied, getting out two helmets from underneath the seat.

When they arrived at the D.E.O., Mark was feeling on top of the world. "I didn't know I could fall in love with you any more." he chuckled as they got down.

"Wait, before we go in... Don't tell them who you are. Most of them are people I trust, but just to be safe." Lexie stopped him.

"Whatever you think is necessary." he said, kissing her cheek, and they went inside.

First they went to the main area, with the huge windows and the computer screens, where Win was already working.

"Hey!" she greeted him.

"Hey, Alex!" he replied, and when he looked up from his screen, he noticed Mark. "Who's the big, muscular guy there next to you?" He eyed him up and down, intimidated.

"Dr. Mark Sloan." He introduced himself, extending his hand.

Win hesitantly took it and felt the grip slowly getting tighter.

"Is he a friend?" Mark whispered to Lexie.

"Yeah. God. Mark." she stopped him, and he let go of Win's hand.

The IT guy held his hand in pain. "Doctor, huh? You two know each other from medical school?"

"Something like that." Lexie answered. "He was...my teacher." she elaborated, giggling at the memory of their first night together.

"Not that I don't like meeting big, scary guys. Just why did you bring him into this secret government building?" Win questioned.

"None of your business." Alex shot back. "Have you seen J'onn?" she added, looking around a little anxious.
