Today was the day. Tryouts. Not only tryouts, but it was the day for the kids of Tree Hill high school to find where they really belong. It was a few days since the first day of school, people are beginning to get settled in to the new year. There are many new students who would love to be apart of the ravens basketball team.
"Alright line up!" Antwon Taylor said as he blew his whistle. Antwon "Skills" Taylor was now the coach of the Tree Hill Ravens. He is now engaged to Bevin Mirskey.
"Alright I see we have some fresh meat here to tryout." Skills said as everyone laughed. "Lets' have everyone introduce themselves before we begin. We will start with you young Baker." Skills said as he pointed at Davis.
"Hello, I'm Davis and.." Everyone heard the door open from behind them they turned around. Jude Baker walked through the door in athletic wear.
"Jude, Computer Club is on the second floor," Brad yelled from across the gym.
Skills blew his whistle. "Brad take a lap, these are open tryouts and if Jude wants to tryout he can."
"Thank you." Jude said as he got in line.
"Now it brings me great pleasure to introduce to you your next captain, Jamie Scott. A man after my own heart."
"Thanks Skills," Jamie said with less enthusiasm than expected.
"Now let's get started!" The boys ran to the court and began shooting.

"Hello everyone, welcome to Cheer!" Madison said with much excitement. The cheer squad met on the opposite side of the gym. "I see we have some new ladies here today." Madison said looking at Lydia and Lily. "Being apart of the cheer squad here at Tree Hill high is one of the most rewarding things about our school.
"So rewarding," Sawyer said sarcastically.
"Sawyer, could we please keep all other sarcastic comments to ourself? Thanks," Madison said trying to remain cheery. "Today we are just going to run through a simple dance routine. Everyone follow me." Madison put a song on the stereo and began to dance while the girls attempted to follow.

On the opposite side of the court basketball tryouts were beginning to really get started. Skills walked around with his clipboard as he made notes about each player.
Jude got the ball. He didn't really know what to do next. So he went in for a layup and made it.
"Nice Jude!" Skills said as he patted him on the back. "I had no idea you played."
"I don't," Jude said. "But I realized that it's just simple geometry."
"What a geek," Brad said to Davis.
"He's making more baskets then you," Davis said to Brad as he smacked the ball from his arm.
Skills walked over to Andre who was dribbling the ball to himself.
"How's it going, Andre," Skills said as he high-fived him.
"Oh hey coach," Andre said. "Coach, I'm not good. I know I only make the team because of my brother."
"Andre you make the team because you're a great team player and an awesome kid."
"Thanks, but I suck at basketball."
Skills looked over at the cheerleaders and looked at Andre. "I think I have an idea. You dance right?"
"Well yeah, I do actually."
Skills blew the whistle. "Alright, boys hit the showers. Be here tomorrow, same time."
