CADEN'S POV

Brooklyn has never really been an easy place to live. But my parents always knew how to make good use of what they had. They brought me and my older sister Roxanne up with probably a childhood many people would die to have.

My father Felix and his college friends somehow stuck together and did not disband like One Direction (I don't even like 1D but Zayn has cool hair).

All I knew was that grandpop was rich. So eventually, that led to my dad being rich. And the somehow he bought an Apartment Complex in the king's county. And named it "Charlie's Haven", after my grandpop.

Charlie's Haven was never empty, as far as I remember. I was barely out of my mother Kara's womb when my father's college friends made the plan. They all took their respective apartments, and the team stuck together. The other apartments got booked and taken pretty quickly.

See, that's why they didn't disband. They had a gameplan, 1D.

So, this was where I grew up. With the kids that lived in Charlie's Haven (is that annoying? Should I stop saying that? No?), in our very own playground, owned by my dad. You can guess how egoistic that made me as a kid.

I had pride. I had ego.
Which probably led to my bestfriend Gigi and I being the "playground bullies" when we were 12 year olds.

I remember that one day my "favourite target" had cut her bangs too short.

We noticed her after we our football match. (Not the american kind, americans call it soccer, idiots - I realize that I am american too)

"COME ON, TREV!"

I passed the ball to Trevor, he kicked the ball into the goalpost. And score, we won. The team jumped in the air in victory, blew raspberries at the other team for losing.

Gigi bailed on the last match. She was sat under the treehouse, working on her iPad. Beside her sat Tanisha and Zabir. Trevor, Aiden and I ran to them and plopped down over the grass next to them.

Aiden could barely breath -

Aiden: G- Good- good- game.

Tanisha grimaced and kicked Trevor's arm down -

Tanisha: Have any of you ever heard of DEODORANT?

I laid down on the grass, it felt prickly on my back. Then I looked to my side-

Caden: Yo, check it out

Near the team, 2 girls were playing by the slides, holding dolls in their arms. Doing.. I supposed what little girls did, marrying their dolls.

A grin enlarged across my face.

I cupped my hand around my mouth to make my voice louder

Caden: Nice hairstyle, Torres!

She tightens her jaw when she heard my voice. And turned her head around to look at me with annoyed eyes.

Fiona: Don't you have ANYTHING better to do?

Caden: How can I when I'm more interested in you? I cackled.

Gigi sneered.

Gigi: is there another wedding today?"

Caden' Oh, I Am So LoNeLy, I WiSh YOu WoULd HOLd me, BaBe.     I said with my best mocking-moaning voice, which reduced the gang to laughing tears.

She would have run to me to punch me if her friend didn't stop her.

Fiona: Shut the fuck up, Knight
