Chapter 51: Sneaky

Lili groaned as she was finally waking up which felt like a very long time. Her vision focused as she realized that she was on a soft plush bed and in some silk pajamas with her bonnet. She sat up and observed the marble covered room. 'How long was I out? Where am I? Where are Mikey and the other agents? Did the island explode?! Did they escape?!!'

Lili then heard yelling from the other room. She listened and realized that it was Sterling, and he sounded furious. Every time his voice would get that loud and his accent thick, it would make her nervous. Nothing ever comes good from Sterling when he is angry.

" NO ME IMPORTA SI AUN ESTAN HERIDOS, MANDALOS A CUIDAR ESE MOLESTIA DE AGENTE. EL NO PARARÁ MIS PLANES!..." ( I DON'T CARE IF THEY ARE STILL INJURED, SEND THEM TO TAKE CARE OF THAT NUISANCE OF AN AGENT. HE WILL NOT STOP WHAT I WORKED SO HARD FOR.")

Lili slowly climbed out of bed to not make any noise. She put on a pair of slippers that were prepared for her under the bed. She tiptoed to the next room, ' I have to get out of here. I can't be with him for another second." Once Lila was far enough from Sterling, tiptoeing turned into speed walking down the stairs and towards the back entrance to a garden. She hopped over a gate and saw guards; discreetly sneaking up to them and stealing a pair of keys to a car. Rushing without being detected toward the car and far enough, hopping inside, starting the engine, and driving down the street.

" Sneaking and hiding; hiding and sneaking hiding sneaking hiding sneaking AROUNDDDDD! Throughhhhh the obsessive fiance, escaaaaapppinggg with my pajamas. Sneaking and hiding; driving around. NO ONE KNOWS I'M GONE BECAUSE I'M MAKING NO SOUND. Hiding, sneaking; driving around." She sang to herself while snickering. ( Lmao I can't believe I came up with this.)

Back at the complex, Sterling slammed his phone on the table, breaking the screen and squeezing the bridge of his nose. What could be needed at this very moment to make him feel better?... Love from his sleeping fiancee. He got up from his chair and towards the bedroom while unbuttoning his shirt, but to his surprise, she wasn't there. He rushed to the bathroom and the closet, but she wasn't there. He was breathing angrily while looking for Lili around the complex, but she wasn't on site. He saw a guard walk into the room and grabbed him by the collar, " LILI IS MISSING! ORDER ALL THE GUARDS AROUND THIS DAMN HOUSE AND FIND HER!!"

" Yes Sir, right away!" The guard said in a shaking voice. The guard rushed out of the room while talking in his earpiece, Sterling went back into his room. " When will this woman ever learn? She will be punished dearly!" Sterling stared at the wrinkled bed, he stepped towards it and sat down. Gazing at her spot on the bed, he placed his hand on the warm covers and closed his eyes. Visions were going through his head of seeing the past of Lili escaping, and the upcoming future. Once Sterling saw what he needed to see, he opened his eyes. " You want to play games, my love? So be it."

Back to the Past

It has been a full week since I was brought into the h*ll hole. I'm working and beaten nonstop every day. Kids were being sold each day to different buyers, or experimented on by the scientists. Every night I have to check in with the warden about my progress, but each time she just mocks me and belittles me because of my family. The collar that she put around my neck made me feel inhumane, like animal, and it burns my throat everytime, it would be hard to speak.
