She sat in the middle of the huge dark home library. Her face was illuminated only by the moonlight that crept in through the big long window drips. The arm of her black sleeveless dress was being pulled off her shoulders.

“You have the most beautiful skin I have ever seen, Miss Gray.”  He crouched over her small figure as she sat in the chair. Her eyes closed at his every contact with her skin.

He ran his hands along her shoulders. His lips along her neck stopped at every hot spot.

“ If you let me in I promise  to make sure I am the only person you ever think about in your life…”  He paused and pulled her head backward with a subtle force to continue his journey. Her eyes were still closed as she swallowed every sensation of the moment.

“The only man to keep your wild thoughts alive. I know that’s selfish but that’s how much I want you to be mine.”

She didn’t even have words to reply. It was as if just his presence over her and his hands on her was doing enough drastic damage to her brain.

He snaked his hand around her waist and pulled her out of the chair and onto him with the same subtle force. Her head now lay back on his chest. He squeezed onto her waist, earning a sound of pleasure out of her.

“Open your eyes and say something baby,” he said

Zzzzzz!

The alarm jolted off on her nightstand.

Adilene groaned and tapped off the clock’s switch as she rubbed the back of her palm against her awakening eyes.

She sat up and her eyes landed on the red numbers of the alarm and the horror of her morning finally kicked in. It was 9:10!

”No, no, no. I’m so late. I’m late!” She kept rambling on the words as she thundered out of her bed.

Adilene had spent the majority of her night studying a long way ahead of the course she was about to start, hence the reason she woke up late.

Her huge level of anxiety and passion to come out as one of the best could not permit her to fall behind or be in line with everybody nor could she afford to be.

It has just been her and her mom since 11. They had just moved to a new city for the first time in their lives because of her mom’s PR job.

The new job was paying Adilene’s fees at this new university. For Adilene she would have sincerely preferred to stay in her old place with her friends, the family she grew up with, in the personality she knew.

Yet she knew the only reason her mom took the job was so her(Adilene) future could have a greater meaning to it and Adilene being Adilen, felt like the happiness of everyone around her depended on her and her happiness was at the bottom of the list.

Lake NIL  was quite different from their hometown. The people are ten times richer and closed off here.

But they both decided to make it work or Mom decided.

“ Mixing with higher people in life gives you higher chances of success, for we are who we surround ourselves with” These were her mom’s words before their big move and they were the little-to-nothing motivation that gave her peace with the new chapter of her life.

The only thing she had ever wanted in her life was contentment, not prominence or riches just a comfortable home, and a stable paying job but her mother seemed to think that those things would have no meaning in the years to come,  so here she was, in the society of the boujee.
