It was an evening like any other, it wasn't soo sunny, since it was going to set soon, but it wasn't too dark, bright enough for be able to go out. The gentle wind breezed against Y/N's hair, as they sat in their garden of flowers, lowering their head down and bringing a flower up to their nose to smell it. Ah, how calming.
Staring at the soft blue sky, a soft smile creeping up to their face. What a lovely day it was. Evenings like these were Y/N's favourite.
Stood far away, across their house, was a friend of their's, named Joocie. Coincidentally, Joocie was coming out to get his carrier, which he ordered online, before he noticed Y/N in their flower field and couldn't help but stare and get mesmerized.
His eyes softened at the sight of them, admiring their beauty. The way their hair flew with the wind, their eyes staring above at the soft blue sky, what wasn't to love about such a sight? Perhaps he didn't realize, but he lost track of time, standing there for at least 10 minutes staring at Y/N. Maybe he made it too obvious, because someone caught him staring at them.
Joocie was snapped out of his reality as a voice called out to him, causing him to turn his head to where the voice came from, only to find out it was none other than Laff, his neighbour and his close friend. Laff gave Joocie a smile before going over to his front porch.
"Hows' we doin', mate?"
"Oh...I'm doing alright, thanks!"Joocie said, giving Laff back a small smile as he finally took his carrier like he planned to before. He was too busy staring at Y/N, it seemed. Laff chuckled at the thought.
"Hm, yeah. Yous' definitely seem to be doin' alright. In fact, great. Wouldn't yous say?"
Confused, Joocie tilted his head slightly, raising an eyebrow. Asking what Laff meant through body language and signals. Of course Laff knew what he meant, he chuckled and laughed a bit after at Joocie's confused look, which made Joocie even more confused as his eyebrows furrowed.
"Don't think I didn't catch yous staring at Y/N over there, hm?"
Laff said, snickering a bit right after his sentence, in which Joocie widened his eyes slightly in shock and surprise, not knowing he'd been caught. His cheeks started to become a light tinted pink, as he placed a hand before his face and internally slapped himself for being so stupid.
Why didn't he control himself? He should've just taken his carrier and went back into his house. Why did he have to catch sight of Y/N? Oh, the stupidest things he did for them.
"You like 'em don't you? I can tell."
Joocie came back to reality again, making eye contact with Laff as he was still blushing. He nodded slowly, taking a deep breath and sighing loudly a whole after. Laff smirked and snickered.
"Well, do yous plan on confessing soon?"
The sudden question made Joocie just stand there and think for a moment, asking himself, was he going to confess? If so, when? He hadn't had much thought about that before. He just knew he liked Y/N. More than he first imagined.
Laff seemed to get the drill and knew what Joocie was thinking, letting out a soft hum and raising his eyebrows. Puppy love, it seemed. Laff knew all too much about that kind of stuff. He was said to be a mother figure, after all.
"I think yous should."
"You really think so?"Laff gave a reassuring nod, responding with a 'Mhm', or a hum in other words. Joocie lowered hsiis head down slightly, trying to think of the possibilities and kinds of ways he would confess to Y/N. But what would be the best? What would make them accept his confession? Did they like him the same way he did?
