Once upon a time, lived an advanced civilization. However it was destroyed later on, due to a disaster known as the "elysian disaster". This disaster is in form of a virus that makes people turn into dangerous monsters. The virus can be transmitted through saliva or bite marks. Humans in that civilization did not remain silent. They created a special army consisting of selected people who had been given special potions by scientists at that time. One of the scientists who took part in the creation was Mikazuki Mei. She had a friend named Katuro Eiji who was one of the people selected to be one of the special forces.

They had been friends since the 1st grade of junior high school. At first it was a normal relationship, as close friends, but since entering high school they began to have a strange feeling in their hearts. They tried to find the meaning of this feeling but until the disaster occurred, they could not determine what it was. Until one day, the day Eiji tried to inject a potion into his body, he felt a lot of pain, but that didn't stop him. He tried to endure the pain until all the potions were successfully injected into his body. He rested, until the next day, when he began his training to become stronger.

Mei, on the other hand, felt that her body was starting to become unable to withstand the radiation given by the potion she and other scientists had made. Until several months passed, the special forces led by Eiji, massacred up to 50 percent of the people infected by the disaster. Eiji wanted to meet Mei who was in his office, but he was shocked when he saw Mei lying helpless on the floor of his office. Eiji tried to wake her up but it was in vain. Mei was dead, then he looked at the paper in Mei's hand, he read it until he finally found out that the potion that had been injected into her body was cells from people affected by the Eliysian disaster. When he finished reading the letter, he was surrounded by the special forces he led and the scientist who made the potion.

He saw Mei's body for the last time, because he was about to be executed by scientists for finding the truth about the potion. Eiji could finally conclude that the Elysian disaster was a disaster created by scientists to scare people, so that they wanted to cooperate with them in exchange for scientists providing protection for them and them becoming the research objects. In the end, Eiji was executed by being hung in front of people. Before being executed, he recalled the memories he had with Mei until he knew that the strange feeling in his heart was love.
