The time was somewhere around noon, and Renee couldn't help but yawn as she slouched forward at her desk. Her light green eyes glossy with exhaustion, and her long black hair slightly disheveled from running around the office all day with little time for a break. Renee glanced upward, twords the clock on the adjacent wall and sighed.
"Haaa, great...not even and hour before my shift ends and yet here I am filling out paper work because somebody didn't do theirs and now I'm paying the price for it."
Renee said absently to herself. She wasn't sure whether to be glad it was almost time for her to clock out or be slightly if not a little more then irritated that no matter if she finished filling out theses files today or the next her boss would just find some excuse to dumb more work onto her last minute.
"I am a detective goddammit not a secretary."
Renee cursed under her breath as she glared down at the half filled out file sitting on her desk, still waiting to be completed. Renee sighed once more, as much as she wanted to continue sulking in her sour mood she knew it would inevitably lead to nothing so she sucked up her pride and set her grievances to rest as she picked up a pen and began filling out the rest of the file.
About 30 minutes later somebody walked into the office and walked straight twords Renee's door to her office. Knocking on it twice before opening the door. Renee looked up from her work and spotted one of her coworkers standing in the doorway. He wasn't much really just your standard young adult, his curly brown hair nearly covering his eyes as he stood there timidly.
"Yes?, do you need something?"
Renee asked and the young man stiffened slightly before clearing his throat and speaking
"M-Mr...I mean Officer. Lee Xaoi wants you in his office. Says it's a-about a case."
Renee cocked an eyebrow at the young gentleman for a moment before setting the file she had in her hands down. Her head slightly cocking to the side as she spoke.
"That so?, Lee also mention any specifics? Oooor?"
Renee questioned but the young man only shook his head in response. Regrugingly, Renee stood up. Stretching herself out before letting out an exasperated sigh knowing damn well that whatever this was about it was probably just another thing to add to her list of 'things to do because...work...or something'.
Renee stepped out of her office and walked down the hall. Fighting back the urge to drag her feet as she stumbled twords Lee Xaoi's office in an attempt to delay having to interact with him. Not that there was anything wrong with Officer. Lee she just really really found the sound of his voice annoying for some inate reason that she couldn't bother to remember.
Eventually Renee reached the door to Lee Xaoi's office and she sucked in a breath before knocking. She waited for a moment before hearing a voice from the other side.
"Door's open."
With that Renee opened the door and glanced over at Lee whom sat patiently at his desk. His dark brown eyes fixed on something on his desk before he spoke up once more, not even bothering to look up from what he was doing.
