Chapter 16

"We all are here for business. I wasn't completely honest with all of you guys. only a few people know why they are here tonight. My enemies and my allies are all in the same room for one night because I have an important announcement to make. first, I am retiring as leader of The Wolfs." there was chatter all around the room. " one more minute people!" her dad yelled into the mic. "second!!" moment of silence. Hehe, silence I'll kill you. "I'm handing my title down to the black wolf AKA my future daughter-in-law."

well, saw that coming.

In the middle of the room stood a man with a gun pointed to the ceiling. He was tall, dark-skinned with nice timed black hair. He had very sharp facial fractures, Like razor sharp. You could tell just by the way he holds himself that he's a very important man. But what intrigued me the most was not the gun or his sharp-ass razor-shaped jawline. Nope, it was that he was staring at me right in the eyes. He's eyes. They were like I'm looking in the mirror. Weird.

He just stood there. Why? Don't fucking ask me. I just got the fucking promotion I have no clue what's going on. He slowly brought his gun down still staring me down. little did he know, I don't take competition lightly. I'm not turning down from a staring contest. I smirked at the dude. He looked amused.

"Raven Black." a voice a bit too girly to be a man said. It came from him tho? Now I'm curious how does he know my name? Lexa's dad hasn't told anyone my name.

"That's me. Who might you be?" I asked politely looking at August. He shrugged his shoulders telling me he didn't know who the dude was or how he knew my name.

"Someone who I think you'd be interested in." he smiled. His smile mimicked mine. This is freaky as fuck.

"We can talk after this" he nodded while taking his seat again.

I walked off the stage with Lexa. I made sure she made it down the steps without falling. I wonder who this dude is and why is he so interested in me.

The night went on. Music played and everyone had a great time. Eventually, everyone left and the night became silent. Lexi went with August to go home. She wanted to stay with me but I didn't want to risk her life with this dude. I don't trust him. He freaks me out.

"I thought you might have forgotten about meeting me seeing as you were the one that caused a very big scene," I said to the stranger who walked up next to me leaning against the stage and I sat on it.

"I wouldn't miss this conversation for anything in the world kid." I cooked my head to look at him. The closer I was to him the more he sounded like a girl and looked a bit like one too.

"Whys that?" I asked.

"Because I've been waiting for this moment for a long time." he paused. "Two years before you were born I met your mom. She was freshly engaged to the person you know as dad. He was a good person back then. He even worked for me. But me and you mom started to hang out a bit more as friends tho. Eventually, one thing led to another and you were created. She ended things after I offered her everything. A life for her with no worries and a life for you with no worries. Your "father" never knew you weren't his until you grew up a bit. I think it was around when you were 12 he noticed. I tried my hardest to get you out of the situation. I even filed for custody over you and lost because you had two parents and a wonderful home to grow up in." everything he's saying I don't want to believe but he's starting fact. I remember Mom and Dad talking about court one time. They would argue about it. That's when my dad started to be more distant towards me until the beating started. "until your mother died." we both set silently after he said that.  He? She? They/them? The fuck I don't know. He/she whatever they are is confusing the fuck out of me. I looked at him confused.

"What kid?" he asked looking at me with a Blank look.

"What your gender? You confusing the fuck outta me. You look like a dude, you sound like a girl but also look like one too. What in the fuck are you?" he laughed. At me.

"I'm what you are my child." this confused me more. I'm a girl. "Oh my goodness I thought you were smart. I'm intersexed dummy where do you think you get it from? Do you think you'd have a big dick from that loser of a father?" OHHHHHHH THAT MAKES TOTAL SENSE NOW. Wait how does he know I have a big dick?

" wait so do you go by he/him or she/her? Because I go by she/her." yet again another laugh.

"She/her kid. God if I knew you were this slow I'd get you out of there sooner." I smiled.

"I want to do a DNA test to make sure," I said. She dropped her smile and put a straight face on.

" if that's what you want so be it but I'll pay for everything."

" Nope, I'll pay just so I know you won't mess with anything. I don't quite trust you yet..." I waited for a name.

"OH, my bad I don't have the best manners. I'm Roawn Knight CEO of Knights Enterprises and leader of the Royal Knights gang." Royal knights huh? Never heard of them but I have heard of Knights Enterprises. It's some corporation that specializes in finding falling businesses and being their backbone to help them stay up and running to make them successful and get like 15-20% of the business. All in all a very good company.

We sat there a talked for a bit before calling it a night. I wish this is all the truth and that this DNA test will tell me if I am truly her daughter or not. If I am her daughter, Mom why did you keep this from me? And why didn't you let me get to know my real father? Mother? I don't know all I do know if this is a lot to deal with. I just want to go home and crawl into Lexa's arms and go to sleep without worrying for a bit.
