Karasuno, nicknamed "The Fallen Champions; Flightless Crows" and "The Clipped Crows" That's how they were regarded after failing to pass the prefecture's preliminaries after their initial success.

But this team always had one common factor through the years. A crow, every year the team could be seen with a crow on their shoulder.

It was said that their crow was a mascot that began years ago, to which then its descendants continued being an essential part of the team and that generational fact continued throughout the years.

Crows. Vicious omnivores that take advantage of predators much stronger than themselves. They thrive off anywhere, wherever that might be, from anywhere within the deep mountains or in the middle of a big city. Crows always find a way to survive.

The black bird flew down his way towards a window on Karasuno's gym. The beautiful black bird flapped its wings as it prepared to perch. With delicacy the bird's talons touched the floor.

Suddenly, a puff of smoke surrounded the proud bird and from it, a short boy emerged.

His shiny golden eyes were quite the eye catcher for many.

The boy looked at his surroundings as the gym window he'd usually find open had been closed.

"Ne, ne. Now who was mean enough to close my entrance?" a visible pout was present on the short boy's features. As he looked at the closed window in despair.

The crow boy proceeded to sit down on a corner near the gym's entrance. Mushrooms practically growing on his short hair.

"They're so mean, they're so mean, mean, mean, mean...." His quiet mumbles were heard as he rocked back and forth.

"Oh-! Crow, you're here." The gym's door opens and from it coach Ukai came out.

"Ukai-san!" The boy immediately stood up, his eyes practically sparkling as he saw the young coach.

"Thank you for coming with such short notice, Crow" the blond male said with a grin.

"No prob Ukai-san!" The boy practically sparkled as Ukai could essentially see a wagging tail-though the boy was no dog-yet Karasuno's coach was quite used to his antics.

"Did he really say 'prob' " Ukai sweat dropped at the statement. Before clearing his throat and inviting the boy inside.

Skipping his way behind the taller male the grin in his face never disappeared.

"Oi! Everyone round up!" The coach called for the boys that were just about to start their practice match against the Neighborhood Association Team.

Confused, the male's listened. They all surrounded the young coach.

"Everyone, meet Crow, he's gonna be joining the club from now on." The young coach said as he placed a hand on the short male's hair. A large grin on his face.

Hinata looked and the crow boy locked eyes.

"I'm- I'm looking down!" Surprised the male stated the boy in front of him couldn't be taller than 160. And for the first time he truly felt how it was to be completely looking down.

An irk mark became apparent on Crow. "Shuddap! You're not so tall yourself!" The short boy said, his angry self overly close to the carrot top.

"Gah-! Scary!" Carrot top said as he backed away from the shorter male.

"Ha. Ha! I win!" Childishly the crow boy lifts up his arms in victory.

"Ah. Another one..." the third years sweat drop as they see the two bicker.

"Ano...Why is he joining so late?" Sugawara asks slightly stepping closer to their new coach.

"Oh-! Because he got injured, it made him unable to attend school for a bit. But he's fine now, I knew he went to school here but wasn't able to contact him until this morning." The male gave them a very scary grin.

"Why is he looking at us like that-?" The third years thought once more, all the players could feel the threatening aura of their new coach.

"Alright! Everyone back to what we where doing. Now I just need to borrow a setter from you guys." The coach stated as he looked at the two setters. Sugawara stepped up.

"Sugawara-san. You're not doing this for me, are you? If you're stepping down so I can step up, I'll refuse." Kageyama said, looking slightly scary.

"Ever since you joined the team as official setter, I've sort of been relieved. The setter is the pillar of our team's offense. He must be the toughest of everyone. But I never felt confident about throwing tosses. I've been scared the spikers would repeatedly be blocked because of my tosses. So I hid behind Kageyama's overwhelming abilities, and enjoyed the relief." Sugawara began to ramble, as he looked down dejected.

"When I think of spikes getting blocked...It still scares me. But...Let me toss to you again, Asahi." The boy looked up, a determined glance on his eyes as he stared at the team's ace.

"That's why I'll be on their team. Kageyama. I won't let you outplay me." With a determined smile he looked at the first year setter.

"I won't, either." Kageyama replied back.

"Nishinoya, I'm counting on your nice receives." The male with silver hair said, a large grin on his face.

"That goes without saying." Determined Nishinoya responded.

"All right. Let's get ready." The team's captain said.

"Ne. Ne. Ukai-san, will I play too?" The Crow said with a large grin, a childish look in his face as he pointed at himself, yet his eyes seemed to show a strange scary look.

"Ehh- no way!" The male karate chopped Crow's head, before regaining his composure. "I already know your capabilities, you're gonna analyze them with me." Meaning: you're gonna memorize everything about your new teammates and use it to our advantage so we can destroy those damned cats! He finished his statement with a devilish grin.

"Gah-!" Knowing the meaning behind those words Crow deflated. He proceeded to sit in a corner and sulk, mushrooms practically growing on his head.

"Oi-!! Stop sulking and start taking notes!" Angrily the coach snarled at him.

"Alright..." Crow lazily agreed sitting right in front of the coach, out of nowhere he took out a small notepad and a pen. Beginning to sketch each player and what he saw about them, from their small habits while playing to their strengths and weaknesses. Like a sponge he sucked up every little bit of information on the court.

Yes. He truly was a crow.

Analyzing and memorizing. Not many are able to do both at the same time easily.

Yet, he is Crow. A boy with photographic memory and genius abilities, analyzing was something he was great at.

To which he never asked to start off in a game, he took his time to analyze his opponent. Once he was done, it was just a ticking time bomb before he exploded that knowledge against them.

He truly, was one of the smartest birds out there.
