Crows.
Creatures with excellent memory.
They forever remember,
let it be nice or bad. They know.
Upon those memories,
they act.

Darkness.

For the first time the boy could see darkness, he felt awake yet not simultaneously. His eyes wondered from side to side, why was he here?

How was he here? Did he pass out? Was that even possible for him?

Suddenly the scenery changed from it's void-like darkness to a volleyball court.

"Look at him go ladies and gentlemen! Are we witnesses to the raising of a prodigy!!?" The loud voice that boomed through the speakers of the gymnasium disoriented him, he felt overwhelmed by his emotions and the world span.

He remembers this day as clearly as day. His team had made it to nationals and he was feeling the pressure of being an ace. The center pillar of a team.

He was meant to lead them to victory.

That was his sole and only role. He thought he could, so what happened? When did it all collapse? How did all go wrong?

He honestly didn't know.

Crow slowly began to blink away the sleep on his heavy eyes. Woah, so this is what it felt to be truly tired.

Getting up he noticed how he was in someone's bedroom, dinosaur decorations all around.

He didn't recognize where he was.

Oh- no did he finally blackout-? It has never happened before-! He was always full of energy, but it seems his energy is not endless-!

Looking down he saw his feather-covered chest. Looking to the sides, his wings. Oh crap- he did blackout. He's not imagining that his surroundings are bigger, he's just small.

Wait- but where is he?

Who knows his secret?

Just as that thought raced through his mind the door opened and through it came Tsukishima.

Ah shit-

"Oh. You're awake, Crow." Was he imagining it or did Tsukishima's tone sounded gentle just now-?

"Caw-!" Ah right- he couldn't speak in this form, adding to that depending on the blackout, when he'd be able to change back also would vary.

"Coach Ukai filled me in, I imagine you wanna know how long you were out for?"

"Caw!"

"It wasn't too long so you don't have to worry. Just five hours." Yeah- he wasn't imagining it- his tone was infact more gentle. Was it because he's an animal? The guy does seem like the type to have a soft spot for animals...

Deciding that he wouldn't think about it at the moment. He looked at Tsukishima as he made his way into bed, currently being 1 am he had gone out to drink some water. Finally making his way into his bed the boy took out his glasses and turned off his lamp.

Making himself comfortable he drifted off to sleep. Crow, with nothing else to do moved the boys arm with his head and positioned himself between the boys arm and his chest. Finding the serene movement of his breathing chest calming.

He quickly drifted into a deep slumber.

The sounds of birds chirping and the quiet sounds of a person woke him up.

Slowly getting up the male sees the tall blond moving around the room, taking clothes and preparing his school stuff.

Crow looked at the clock in the nightstand, 6 am. His yellow eyes shined and his feathers excitedly puffed up. He could become human again.

A puff of smoke surrounded the crow and once more from it, the boy emerged. He was sitting down in a crisscross position as he stretched his arms up.

"Gah~! It feels great to have hands again-!" The boy said as he cracked his fingers.

"Ah. Welcome back Crow." The male smirked at him a smug look on his face.

"Ne. Ne-! Thanks for taking care of me, Tsukki!" A big grin spread across the short male's face as he looked at the tall blond across the room. The blond's eyes slightly widen at the use of his nickname before he makes a low "tch" sound and responds.

His pale face turning slightly rosy as he looked away. "Whatever."

A small chuckle escaped the black-haired boy's throat as he then proceeded to get up from the tall male's bed.

A puff of smoke surrounded him and once more he was a crow. Quickly flying to the blond's hair he proceeds to lay on it.

The tall male says nothing as he exists his house. Once they were near the school there was no one around just yet and the crow boy turned human once more.

"Gah~! Tsukki!~ your hair is so, so soft!" The crow boy blurted out a large grin on his face.

The tall blond's eyes widened as he looked away his face slightly turning rosy. With a huff the male turned to him once more a smug look on his face this time. "Oh really? You looked so awfully small that I barely noticed you~!" Tsukishima simply replied with a shitty smirk on his face.

An irk mark quickly made its way towards Crow's temple. "Oh you piss me off so much-" he said comically enraged steam practically coming out of his ears. "That's why you're my favorite!" He suddenly said his demeanor making a complete 180.

"Wierdo..." Tsukishima murmured to himself. The boy was very odd.

A ghost of a smile made its way towards the tall male as he walked faster than the short male, leaving him behind.

"Oi! Don't leave me behind!" The crow boy runs after the salty male with a grin on his face.

The rest of their walk is silent, yet comfortable.

Both males made their way towards the gym. Where the rest of the team awaited. The team said nothing as they saw the short male tease the far taller blond while they entered. The volleyball team was confused to say the least.

After all the two barely interacted with each other, what was this sudden change?

Yet before any of them could wonder what was going on, practice began and they were left to their own thoughts and speculations. The two involved never knowing what occurred through the minds of their teammates.

Without anymore delays they begun practice.

The two boys now shared a secret. One that wouldn't be discovered by anyone else in a very long time.
