The name is not important, what's important is that it was true what the old lady said was all true and now Cassie doesn't know what to do with the book. It wasn't the ending she wanted but the book won't give her another ending and now he is standing just behind her breathing down her neck slowly getting bigger and bigger.

It was Christmas holiday season and Cassie just got back to her home from college for the holidays. She was super excited to spent the time of the year with her parents and little brother, so when Josh insisted on going on a book hunting at the local old book store Cassie gingerly agreed to babysit because Josh and his love for book is endless but not their pockets. The store was really old and shabby looking with a 70 something old lady behind the counter with sleepy eyes. Cassie didn't like the vibe of the store but she still looked around with Josh. She wasn't interested in buying anything for herself there so when the old lady suddenly appeared from behind a book shelf with a rather new looking book Cassie almost had a heart attack.
"You can try this ." The old lady said with much enthusiasm.
"I am not really interested in books , my brother is looking for some, but thank you." Cassie was just creeped out now.
"No no you should read this, it was waiting for you, the ending is waiting for you, take it." The old lady practically shoved the book into Cassie's hand.
"But I don't want....." Before she could finish the lady was no where to be seen .
Now that she takes a look the book doesn't have a name anything just a hard cover.
"Hey sis let's go nothing interesting here " Josh was finally done searching.
"What's that sis?"
"I don't know the old lady gave it to me to read "
"Huh but it's empty."
"What do you mean empty there is writing in the book "
"No there's not it's blank see?"
"Stop with the jokes Josh here the story starts with a girl on holiday vacation and so on."
"Sis seriously what are you talking about it's empty!"
"Enough with your jokes Josh. Fine we are getting this one she gave it to me anyway. Hi just this please."
The old lady rang them up smiling all too happily.
Josh wasn't sure what happened but he didn't argue anymore maybe his sister was cracking a joke?
When they got home after two more store stop Cassie immediately got to her room to read the book, she wasn't sure why but she just wanted to know the story of this nameless book. As she read through it she realised it wasn't just a story it was a description of her last four days at home after she got back from college and now she was on the last page and it said,
' He was standing right behind her with her gift all too happy to deliver it to her , but she just wasn't turning around so he took a quick swing and there she was looking at him now the perfect head piece.'
As she read the last word she could she the reflection of the blade in the man's hand at her window and she wished she never should have listened to the old lady.
