Amazon Lily, Calm Belt. It was a normal day on the island, women of all kinds were mingling, laughing, working, and just enjoying their everyday lives. It was the same for the Empress of the island, Boa Hancock. She was in her room kneeling in front of a picture with her hands clasped and her eyes closed.
"Please give me the strength to go through another day."
She muttered softly before getting up. She then picked up a piece of meat that was on a platter next to her bed. She lifted the meat in front of the picture while going on one knee.
"With this holy meat I offer to thee, I pray for you to be victorious in all of your endeavours."
She held the meat up for a few seconds before eating it.
"Amen."
"What the hell are you doing?"
A voice came from behind her. She turned around and saw Elder Nyon looking at her with disgust. Her eyes then landed on the large picture of Luffy on the wall.
"I can't believe it. You've actually levelled up from love to worship."
She shook her head.
"The future looks darker than the night if this is our leader."
"Silence, woman."
Hancock stood up.
"There's nothing wrong with worshipping the entity known as Monkey D Luffy. He's the truth, the righteous one, the great-"
"Alright, calm down there. You're turning into a fanatic."
She passed that stage a long time ago.
"What did you even come here for? You're interrupting my morning worship of my lord and saviour."
Elder Nyon's eyes twitched as she looked at Hancock.
(There's no hope for this woman. We should just dump her on Luffy and elect a new queen.)
She started to plot mutiny in secret. She stuck her hand in her clothes and took something out.
"I thought you would like to know what your lord and saviour is up these days."
It was a newspaper. On the front page was a picture of Fujitora kneeling in front of the citizens of Dressrosa. However, that wasn't what caught Hancock's eye. It was the picture of Luffy and Law at the bottom.
"Apparently, Luffy-"
Before she could finish speaking, the newspaper was snatched from her hands.
"Luffy~! It's Luffy~!"
Hancock started spinning around while looking at the picture.
"Huh? Trafalgar Law? Why is he with my man?"
"That was what I was trying to tell you. He and Luffy-"
"He's ruining a perfectly good picture."
Hancock tore Law's picture out of the newspaper without hesitation.
"My newspaper!"
Elder Nyon pounced at her but Hancock kept her away by stepping on her.
"I bought that with my own money, you little brat!"
"Quiet down. There's no price too great for my beloved."
"Then buy one yourself!"
Hancock kicked Elder Nyon away while staring at Luffy's picture with heart eyes. This was how Hancock started her morning. Nothing special, just your typical morning.
