"Why is your room so far from mine?" Mingi complained to Yunho.
Since their first meeting after so many years, they decided to visit one of their dorm rooms. Today, it was Yunho's turn to be visited. Perhaps Mingi could invite Yunho to his room tomorrow if they both didn't have different evening activities.
"Maybe because of the different faculties?"
Could be.
While Mingi shared a room with San, Yunho shared one with Wooyoung. Coincidentally, Wooyoung was in the same dance club as San, so he wasn't in their room at the moment.
Yunho and Mingi weren't too awkward for two individuals who had just reconnected after a long separation. As long as the topics revolved around themselves during the parting, the distance from class to Yunho's dorm room felt like a short journey.
Mingi drew a conclusion that, aside from Yunho's now striking beauty in his eyes, Yunho remained the same. A bit quiet, not talkative, not very responsive—just sweet smiles and soft answers. Speaking slowly and always sounding genuine and patient. Unlike before, Mingi now found peace in hearing that voice, sensing warmth in Yunho's smile.
Nothing had changed, except Mingi now looked at Yunho with a different kind of gaze.
He felt now he was interested in Yunho in a different way.
He sensed Yunho with a different feeling.
Perhaps Yunho felt the same.
He also observed and judged how Mingi had changed. Still the same. Too talkative and noisy, just like how he left things. Even now, Mingi had become even more talkative than before, undoubtedly influenced by spending years with another chatty person—San. But Yunho liked it. He still liked everything about Mingi. His amusing face. Broad chest. Broad shoulders. Solid back. His words. His actions. Everything.
Yunho and Mingi were opposites, but that's what drew them to each other. Like North and South Poles, attracting each other because of their differences. Mingi could lure Yunho into talking more, while Yunho could calm and suppress Mingi from talking too much.
Yunho was confident they could cover each other's shortcomings.
Mingi was sure they could complement each other.
Together, they could be perfection.
Then, a notification on Mingi's phone interrupted their conversation. He reached into his jacket pocket, glanced at the sender's name before tapping the screen to read San's message.
"Where are you?"
Usually, Mingi would respond with the same sentence at the beginning of their conversations; "In your heart." But unfortunately, he had an intense desire to focus on Yunho. So, unconsciously, he replied.
Rediscovering something precious that was once lost.
"Do you have the contact number for your dorm head? What's his name again? Senior Park Seonghwa?" Mingi asked Yunho after sending the chat reply to San.
"What are you planning to do?"
"I just want to ask. Can Wooyoung and I switch rooms tonight?"
