Calum's POV
The door opens and we all step out. We were all in silence, the 7 of us in the whole one and a half hour ride to the airport. The chilly wind went by made all of us have goosebumps and shivers.
We stayed in silence as we all went in the building. We walk towards the main security where only Luke can past.
It was the dullest moment ever.
The moment we were all in front of the security, Luke and Grace were looking at each other and we were waiting for something to happen. Nothing really happened. Nothing would happen, I thought. At least not something too bad.
But it happened.
It was an hour before the plane would leave. All of us- me, Claire, Michael, Anna, Ashton, Grace and Luke -stood there in silence until Grace broke it.
"Luke, I need to tell you something." She said as her voice cracked. By her tone, it wasn't going to be good. She was about to announce something. She took a deep breath and continued. "Luke, I am so sorry, I cannot be with you anymore. It's not exactly you, but you're hurting me so much I can't handle the pain anymore. I-I-I l-lo-love...... you a lot, but I really can't do this anymore. Our relationship cannot continue any further. I am really sorry." She was able to finish until she bursted out crying running to me and covering her head in my chest.
But even before that, we all had our jaw dropped. Our eyes widen as Grace continued her sentence. I look down at Grace who was sobbing hard. I look at Luke, who was pale. It was all in a slow motion, until Luke dropped his suitcase and ran to me, no Grace. I pulled back as Luke hugged her from behind her. Grace was hanging down Luke's arm, crying and her sobs escaping her lips every second. She looked terrible. It was hard to see a friend like this. You would never want to see your best friend in a situation like this, never. It was too devastating, heartbreaking.
The boys and the girls were all watching Grace crying as she was hanging down Luke's arm, while Luke held her tight, his eyes shut and eyebrows crunched up.
"Grace, you can't do this to me." Luke whispered firmly to her. "You can't do this. I'm really sorry, please forgive me. I'm really sorry. But please, don't leave me like this." He kept on repeating and repeating. He sounded so desperate. And I knew Grace could hear the hurt and desperate in his voice but she kept on shaking her head.
"Luke, don't make this any hard. Please Luke. This will make us both much happier, trust me. We can't keep on doing this. It's just hurting both of us. Not only me, but you too." She breaths out within sobs.
I look at everyone. Ashton was hugging Anna who Michael was leaning on.
Claire was next to me, leaning on my shoulder, tears slipping down her eyes.
"It's fine." I whisper to her as I hug her and kiss her on the head.
I turn back to Luke who was now hugging Grace from the front. They were both hugging each other so tight, nothing could ever break the bond between them. But it soon did. Grace pulled herself back, as Luke did too. He wiped his tears, which his eyes were now bloodshot.
"I love you." He whispered as he looked over to Grace. He picked up his suitcase and looked at each of us. He smiled weakly at me at last as he strolled his bag and soon he was out of sight.
Michael ran straight to Grace, who was hiccuping uncontrollably. The instant she felt his arms around her, she bursted out crying again.
Grace was broken. We could all see it, she was broken. She wasn't mentally stable at the moment, she wasn't these past few days, except for yesterday when they went on a date. She was absolutely going to get depressed.
