Chapter One: teammates and dorms

The day started early it was fairly warm for a morning in August. That didn't bother me much as my twin brother Steve and I were getting our stuff ready for school, but not just any school, the school for dragon riders!
     Let me explain what the dragon riders do and what other factions there are, there are a few different types of schools in the world, for instance, there are schools for, fae, merfolk, witches, and lastly the school for dragon riders our job is to protect the world from evil and keep the citizens of every clan in the world safe.
     Enough about that for now, I have to make sure Steve is awake.
I grab my bag and head out of my room to Steve's door and knock "Steve, you awake, we have to catch the train in an hour'' Steve opens the door with his stuff in hand "Hey Jet, yeah I'm ready, I've been up for hours!" I smile seeing him excited and ask," I'm too excited to meet your dragon?" His eyes brighten. "Hell yeah, I could barely sleep last night wondering what type of dragons we would get, knowing you. I think you will be most likely to get a ghost type or something to do with death." I laugh "You Mr i love plants, will probably get something to do with nature. Anyways, are you ready to go to the train? It's a few hours' ride to the rider's academy." Steve closes his door and starts walking to the stairs. "Yeah, let's go,"
    We say goodbye to our parents and head to the train station. "Hey jet, what train are we on?."  I look at our tickets "Platform 6 is where we have to go" We get to the platform and hand the conductor our tickets then take our seats in an empty cabin. A few minutes later 4 other teenagers come in, one blond girl with blue eyes who we found out is named Angel, a red-haired green-eyed male named Blaze, a silver-haired nonbinary named Ace, and a short brunette with gray eyes named Trinity. We all sat and got to know each other while we waited for the train to get to the school. We found out that Trinity likes to read, Blaze is good with combat, Ace designs clothes as a hobby, and Angel likes to watch the stars and sky in her free time.
  Steve and I are going to sit with them when we get sorted into our groups at dinner. The way that works is every student gets put into a team of 6 to train with, which becomes the group of people they will spend the rest of their careers with.  They learn to train, fight, and live together. Suddenly, I'm snapped out of thought by someone tapping my shoulder, so I look up and see Steve and the gang looking at me while Steve says "Jet we are at the school now." I look out the window and see an old castle made out of red and black brick built into a mountain, the turrets have a bit of snow on them from how high up they are and there are different types of dragons flying all around the sky. The train soon stops, and we all gather our stuff and get off the train. When we are off, we are met by a huge 6"ft man who looks like he could throw a bear."hello Young dragon riders my name is Malfice Blightvist, but you can call me headmaster, as we go into the school you will be sorted into your groups, the people you are partnered with are your allies, the only people you can count on in battle, think of them as family, enough about that for now it's time to get you into the great hall to find out your groups then eat dinner. As we walk into the great hall, we see 30 other students and wonder what groups they'll be in. When everyone gets settled, the headmaster taps a microphone and has us all quiet down to explain how we get put into groups. Later as we get into our dorm common room I speak up "Who would've guessed that the groups we rode the train  in would determine our group" As soon as I say that I notice what our common room looks like, a banner with the school symbol on the far right wall black couches and chairs and a huge fireplace with bookshelves on either side.
