Torn Between Worlds

Chapter 2

Cheyanne POV

"Oh my goodness what do I wear" I chew on my cheek and look over at Trinity. It's been 2 weeks since I last saw Jayden at the park and we have been texting often.

Trin gets up and walks over to my closet grabbing out a pair of ripped jeans and a long sleeve shirt. I eye the outfit and walk over to my shoe rack and grab my black uggs to go along with the outfit. "This would be so cute but relaxed at the same time" she squeals at me.

I laugh at her and grab the clothes from her hand and walk into my personal bathroom that's connected to my bedroom. Stripping I toss the clothes I was wearing into my laundry basket, put on the outfit she had picked out and open the door. Trinity peeks her head in, and smiles wide.

"Now I just need to finish it off" I walk over to the sink and grab my brush and brush my curls into a cute messy bun on the top of my head. I pin some of the little fly away down with some bobby pins and turn to her, my hands tight on the end of my shirt. "How do I look?"

"FABULOUS!" She screams at me and drags me out the bathroom. "Pleaseeeeee let me add a little makeup. You won't regret it!" She begs. I hate wearing makeup and she knows it. I only wore it one time before and it was because I was playing dress up with my old best-friend before I moved.

I huff and sit down at my vanity. "Fine but just a little Trin. You know I don't like this stuff on my face." She rushed to her bag and pulls out a whole box. Sitting it down on my vanity she opens it up revealing all kinds of makeup I didn't even know she owned. "Wow" was all I was able to get out.

"Hush let me perform my magic on your already beautiful face." I roll my eyes and close them as she pulls out some eye shadow.

Once she finishes up, she tells me to open my eyes and I stare into the mirror in amazement. She put a light coat of white glitter eye shadow, some mascara and clear lip gloss yet I look like a whole different person. You can't really tell that I have eye shadow even on, it just looked like glitter on my eyelids. I turn around and give her a big hug as she giggles. "Careful not to mess up my masterpiece" she mumbles out in the hug as she's slightly shorter than me so her mouth was covered by my shoulder.

Pulling out of the hug, I smile at her hearing the ping from my phone. My eyes go wide and we rush over to it to see what the message says.

Jayden: otw to the park

She puts her shoes on and grabs her items and puts them in her book bag as we walk out the room and down the steps. I shout out "We're leaving" and grab my keys that's hanging up walking out the door.

I shoot him a message letting him know that I'm on my way aswell and we get off walking. The closer we get to the park the more nervous I'm getting. Why am I so nervous? I hear Trinity laughing and I break out of my trance and look over at her. "What's funny?"

It seems as if when I asked that question it was a joke, because she starts laughing even harder. I stick my bottom lip out pouting at her laughing at me. "Your so nervous you'd think your getting married." As she said that she laughed at me again.

I slap her on the shoulder, laughing with her. Once we arrive at the park I see Jayden already sitting there by the pond waiting on me.

Jayden POV

I got to the park early, nervous running my hands through my hair. This is my first time seeing her in over 2 weeks. I'm hoping that she'll be able to come over and meet my parents for the first time on my birthday soon. I want them to see how beautiful inside and out she is for themselves.

Seeing her and her friend Trinity walk into the entrance of the park I smile. She looks as beautiful as always. It's the beginning of October so it isn't too cold outside, shes wearing a long sleeve shirt. She waves as they approach me and I give her a hug and smile at Trinity saying hi.
