'Why would I love him?' Mikey x Y/N

What happened?

{Y/N's POV}
"What?" I asked the brothers in a serious tone. "It's about your brother," Ran said. "Ako? What happened?" I ask worriedly. "He got into an accident from what I heard it was pretty bad," Rindou explains, not daring to look me in the eyes. I look at them in shock. "Where is he?" I ask, grabbing Rindous arm. "The nearest hospital, I'll take you," Rin says.
We walk back to where the girls are tears slowly forming. "I gotta go, my brother is in hospital" I say grabbing my bag. "What happened?!" Yuzuha asks, shock spreading across her features. "I don't know the details, but I really gotta go".
"Are you okay?" Hina asks, coming over to me. "Yep, I'll be fine, Kikyo will be there for me, and it's not like he's dying, he'll be fine" I say, staring at the ground. Emma, Yuzuha and Hina hug me until Rindou is back with his bike to take me to the hospital.

When we arrive at the hospital Rindou takes me to Akos room where I see Kiko sitting down with Maria next to her. "Kikyo?" I say looking at them. She is up in an instant hugging me, she's trying not to cry. I look over her shoulder at Ako in bed with an oxygen mask on.
"What happened?" I ask. "Toman members, the same ones that attacked Tatsuki, Matsui and Kairi, they could've killed him, Ako moved just enough to not get deathly injured". Maria explains.
"Toman again, I'm going to murder Manjiro, I let him off easy for the last one, but his members put Ako in hospital" I say sitting next to Kikyo putting an arm around her.

By the time I leave the hospital it's already night, Maria is taking Kikyo back to her place, I decided not to go with them.
I wander around the city in the dark past clubs and closed shops, streets usually bustling with people empty because of how late it is.
I find myself at the Sano household, I start to turn around when I hear a voice. "Y/N?".

{Mikey's POV}
I couldn't sleep that night so I went and stood outside in the light of the moon clouds slightly covering it.
After a while before I decide to go back inside I see a girl walk by, "Is that?" I pause when I see her stop before starting to walk away again "Y/N?".
She turns at the sound of her name, I walk over to the gate so I can see her more clearly, she looks like she's been crying.
"Why are you wandering around here, your house is like three streets down" I say opening the gate to let her in.
"I was at the hospital because of your fucking gang" she snaps at me. I look at her confused. "What do you mean?" I ask. She stares at me in shock. "Kisaki Tetta and Hanma Shuji put my brother in hospital, he's currently hooked up to multiple machines making sure he doesn't die" She starts to cry and I feel guilty, but I have no idea what she's talking about.
"I didn't know about this. I swear I had nothing to do with it" I plead.
"Really? Then why does it keep happening Sano, my brother could die because of your gang" she looks up at me with a sour look on her face behind the tears.
"I'm serious, Kisaki and Hanma like to do their own thing, but I didn't think it would get this bad, it was mostly harmless, I swear I know nothing, Y/N please listen to me" I look at her, the sadness probably showing on my face.
"I'm going home, I don't know why I came here anyway" she says, turning to walk away. I grab her arm, "Are you sure you can go by yourself, it's really late, it'll be dangerous".
"I'll be fine Manjiro". She walks off leaving me behind, worried.

............ A few weeks later............
{Y/N's POV}
It's been a few weeks since Ako went to hospital, he's getting better and I see him everyday. I'm starting to feel better now.
Yuzuha managed to get me out of my house today and we are sitting on the swings at a park near her house.
"Sooooo, you randomly showed up at Mikey's house for no reason and he tried to comfort you in your attempt to leave?" she asks.
"Yes Yuzuha, that's what I said" I sigh looking at her.
"Sounds like a love story" she puts on a mocking voice before continuing, "Oh the two lovers were always drawn to each other but they never admitted their true feelings to each other in an attempt to hate each other with their whole beings" She laughs. "Yuzuha!" I groan. "The only coherent thought that comes to mind is how insulting it is that eyelashes like those are wasted on Satan's Errand Boy" I snap. "So you like his eyelashes, we're getting somewhere I'm calling Emma and Hina" I jump off the swings and start chasing her around. "NO NO NO, that's not what I meant" I say taking her phone off her. We are both too tired to get up again, so we just lay in the grass laughing and throwing chunks of grass at each other.
......
I went home and saw Kikyo. It was the first time in weeks, she had been staying at Maria's for a while. "Hey Kikyo, you alright?" I sat next to her laying my head on her shoulder. "Yeah, just shaken up, Maria's been there for me. I'm really sorry I left you for so long I didn't even check up on you in these past few weeks" she looks like she wants to cry. "It's fine Kikyo, Yuzuha checked up on me, she even stayed over for a few days before she had to go home" I say hugging her. We just sit there for a few minutes in silence. It was a comfortable silence, neither of us dared to say anything in fear of ruining the calmness.
