Chapter 1

Jennie Kim, known to her inner circle as the silent heiress, the Kim's came from old money, they have so much, they do not know where it begins but certainly, it never ends. At a young age, she's not learning the same way as others, whereas kids her age are learning science math, and whatnot, Jennie is being trained in investment, real estate, and foreign exchange much to her interest.

During her teens, her parents, grandparents, and other close relatives are having meetings with business tycoons, politicians, and high-profile celebrities. Her cousins, Rob, Seb, Axl, Jisoo, and Lisa have been her constant companions, they are all Kim by name even their fathers agreed to change them to fit in their circle and one of the terms is if they want to marry a Kim they should learn to accept and be one.

Because Jennie has a lot of cousins, they were overprotective towards her, since her father is Fred the oldest and the only son of Leo Kim. They never let anyone near her and the only people who can be with her are her cousins and some of their close friends. Thus, Jennie has no friends of her own, she became known as a silent heiress because whenever the elites hang out, she's quietly observing and letting her cousins do the entertaining.

She became one of the best in their business, being mentored by Leo and Fred Kim themselves, Jennie is at the top of every game, and at the young age of 27 she is one of the most powerful tycoons in the country. The downside, her time is always spent with Leo and Fred, two old men puffing their Cuban cigars and sitting on her leather chairs, that's her usual companions

"Jennie, do you think it's time for you to get married?" the oldest Kim asked

"Papa, you know I like girls; besides I don't know anyone since I'm busy with the two of you," she said with a pointed look

"How could you know you like girls when you've never been in a relationship?" Leo said

", Papa I just know" she sighed

"Look, Jennie, we just want you to be happy, we have everything, the least you can do is enjoy life" Fred puffed and smiled at their favourite heir

"Yes, we trained you, so we know you're good at what you do, so this is us giving you the go signal to enjoy your youth" Leo directly giving her permission, there was no arguing with these two smoking baboons

Right now, they are at their annual charity ball, Jennie likes to be alone at moments like this, she's tired of mingling, right now, her thoughts were on the thing her father and grandfather talked about in her office while looking at the city lights in the full glass hallway of the hotel they are celebrating at

"Enjoy huh?" she said as the words echoed in her mind

Rosé Park, a hardworking undergrad who struggles with her time to work her permanent and part-time jobs, is a breadwinner and a loving sister and granddaughter. Rosé since a child had been used to juggling her time between study and work, but now that her brother is in college, she stopped studying to provide for her brother whose college needs are prioritized.

Thank God that they are all in good health which she always wished and prayed for every day so that she can focus on providing their basic needs. Her grandmother Elise home-cooked and healthy dishes of vegetables give Rosé the strength to tackle her job without hassle.

They are happy, Rosé has a lot of friends since she is very sociable and she loves connecting to people to secure jobs left and right. This time it was Frank who gave her this part-time gig of serving champagnes at this charity ball. She is amazed since it's her first time working at this kind of event, usually, she is used to doing this during weddings where she dreamed of doing so someday.
