"And every legend no matter how great, fades with time."

I suddenly shot awake on my bed.
I looked to my left and my right, and I sighed. I got on my computer and looked at the time. 9 am...I must of overslept my alarm again. I opened my cookiemail and looked at the email my boss sent me. 'More information on the legend.' I hummed in a confused tone before opening it.'Hello, (Y/N). I have more information regarding the Legend. The cookie who wanted the oath exchanged the stories of five cookies. One of them you should be familiar with, Hollyberry Cookie. You are aware of the five cookies who fought in the Dark Flour War, yes? Pure Vanilla Cookie, Hollyberry Cookie, Dark Cacao Cookie, Golden Cheese Cookie, and White Lily Cookie. I hope you retain this information, as it could be proven useful during your adventures. I am also aware you have multitude of notes about the dragons, so use those too.
With much appreciation that you're doing this,
Your boss.'I grabbed the notebook off my desk and wrote the information down on a separate sheet of paper. The five heroes? I never knew they played a part in that little exchange. Strange. Anyways, I set my laptop to the side and stretched my muscles and bones a little, feeling them 'pop' was satisfying. I cracked my knuckles before walking to my closet. "Alright I gotta depart soon...hmm...maybe I should get some tea first." I said to myself. I opened my door (a/n: i sleep with my room door open) and walked to my kitchen. I grabbed a pot and poured water into it. I placed it on the stove and turned it on to a low heat. That should give me enough time to get dressed.
...
After I got dressed and neat, I walked back to the kitchen and saw the water boiling. I smiled at this and turned off the stove. I set the pot aside and opened my cabinet for a tea bag. I pulled out a (tea of choice) bag and placed it in the water. ...I added two bags for flavor. Once the water looked up to par, I threw the two tea bags away and poured the tea into my tea cup I own. I smelled the fragrance of it all and sighed happily. I took a sip of it and relaxed into the sensation of the hot tea coursing through my dough.
However, as all peaceful things are enjoyable, there is still the little tricks that get inside our minds. My mind wandered to the thought of, 'And every legend no matter how great, fades with time.'. I looked down at my tea and sighed. They were right. Legends fades over time. I don't let that affect my work though! I love doing the things I love!
I eventually finished my tea and placed the cup in the sink. I went to my room and grabbed everything I needed for this adventure.
"Armor...check. Weapon...check. Water and food? Check. Basic stuff for surviving the wild? Check. My notebooks full of notes? Check. Empty notebooks for writing stuff down or doodling random things? Check. Everything else...check." I muttered to myself. I packed it all in a camping bag and strapped it on my shoulder.
"I AM READY!" I exclaimed. Hmm...if I could recall, in order to get to the Dragon's Valley, I need to pass the berry forest? That was the first place that came into mind, so I guess off we go!
I walked out of my house and closed the door behind me. I grabbed my keys and locked the front door and threw it somewhere in the yard. Don't worry I know where my own keys are! Alright, Dragon's Valley here we come! What could be the worst possible outcome from this?...
...
Oh my god it's so hard doing this...
I felt my feet dragging on the ground for what felt like hours walking in a singular path. Why was the Dragon's Valley have to be THIS far? I sighed. Oh...it was already turning nighttime. I found a spot in the berry forest that was safe for me to rest and built my tent. I looked around for some rocks and sticks, to which luckily I found. I put the rocks in a circle and threw a bunch of dried leaves in the center. I grabbed two extra rocks and began picking at the other one. I had a match, and I could of used that, but in the event I don't have one I have my trusty survival skills I picked up from childhood to help me. I picked at the rock.
Scrape.
Scrape.
Scrape- oo was that a reaction?
I saw the leaves go into a flame, and I smiled at this. Yes! I started a fire! I placed the sticks in the order I liked it and grabbed a sandwich out of my bag. I unwrapped it from its bag and started to eat the sandwich. I stared at the fire and smiled.
"Camping is so fun." I said to myself. I felt a presence and I turned to look who was there. It was a little creature. I almost let out a shriek, but I noticed something weird with it. It was...scared. Fighting for it's life even? Strange. I have never seen the creatures here do that with all the times I've been in the berry forest! "...Umm...You hungry?" I asked, offering a piece of my sandwich to it. The creature took it with their 'hands' and started to munch on it. I smiled. "Hey. Whatever is out there isn't going to hurt you whenever I'm around, alright?" I asked it. The creature nestled up to me and sorta curled up into a ball. I was surprised at this, but then I smiled. "You have nothing to fear, and once morning comes you can go and be a happy creature!" I exclaimed. I looked at the fire and smiled yet again, thinking about the good times. "It'd be ironic if I found Hollyberry Cookie in the forest again." I said, chuckling. I looked down at the creature and it seems as if it went to sleep. I carefully snuffed the flames out and picked the creature up. I carried it to my tent and set it down next to me. I zipped my tent up and sighed. I laid down in my tent and looked at the lantern in the center. I turned it on, the light softly spreading throughout the tent. I nestled up next to the creature and closed my eyes.
"Sweet dreams."Tomorrow was going to be a great day!
After all, what could happen?⊹₊┈ㆍ┈ㆍ┈ㆍ✿ㆍ┈ㆍ┈ㆍ┈₊⊹
Happy thanksgiving to those who celebrate it! :)
