He can increase the amount of things, such as heat, objects, and particles. But he can also increase the emotions a person is experiencing. So when he touches people he can accidentally increase their emotions causing in a great or horrible outcome, depending on how much of that emotion they fell. The draw back are him feeling numb in areas of his body after long quirk usage.
