13. Olivia

Not going to lie, he hurt my feelings but I'm not admitting that to him. I've learned once I let Logan know he was getting to me, he made it his mission to hurt me even more the next time. I won't do that again. So I act like I'm fine. I even flirt with the cute guy from one of my tables. I know that Luke is watching me, I can feel his eyes following me. So I crank it up a little more and touch the cute guys arm. Hopefully he gives a good tip.

I make my way back to the bar and put in more orders. I get the food that they group of guys ordered and I take it to them. The cute one, who I learned is Adam, stops me before I walk off. I lean in so I can hear him. "How about I get your number?" He asks and I lean back up and look at him. I dont really want to give him my number but I don't want to embarrass him in front of his friends either. So I nod and write my number on a napkin and give it to him. He smiles really big and winks. "Thanks beautiful. I'll call you." He says and I smile and walk away.

I walk to the bar and Luke is glaring at me. "Did you just give your number to that guy?" He spits out. I nod. "I did." I tell him and grab more drinks from Lexi. She looks between the two of us and raises her brow but walks away. "Are you trying to get him kicked out?" He asks and I turn and look at him. "You would kick him out for getting my number? That's ridiculous Luke." I tell him and he laughs but its laced with anger. "What's ridiculous is you giving him your number Olivia. And not to mention, you are on the clock, it's not professional and on top of that, you were just outside making out with me a few hours ago."

"Unprofessional? Luke, it's a bar. You haven't gotten a customers number before or taken a girl home after work? And I know we kissed Luke, I couldn't forget if I tried. I gave him my number so that he wouldn't be embarrassed in front of his friends. I've learned embarrassing a guy in front of his colleagues or friends or family only ends bad for me in the end." I tell him and I can see his face soften.

He opens his mouth to say something but then a group of girls come up to the bar. It's clear they want him to wait on them and not Lexi. He looks at me and then back to them. He takes their orders, smiles at them and they laugh about something in that annoying way that drunk girls laugh at everything a cute guy says. I roll my eyes and go make rounds to make sure everyone is taken care of.

About an hour and a half later, Ryder clocks in and I'm happy to see her. "Hey girl, you working alone? Where is Dawn?" She asks me and I shrug. "I don't know who that is but someone called in so I offered to fill in for her." I say and Ryder rolls her eyes. "Dawn always calls in after a night out. I saw she went out last night on Facebook. But thanks for filling in for her. Has it been busy?" She asks and I nod. "It's been steady." I say and then the group of guys from the table I first waited on yell at the tv. Apparently their team isn't doing so great.

"Well, go take a break. I got it for a little while." She says and I nod. "Ok, I'll go pee and grab some food then come back and help you." I tell her and she tells me to take my time. I get to the bar and Lexi smiles at me. "Is it ok if I take a break now that Ryder is here?" I ask her and she nods. "Of course! Go put in a order for food. It's on the house." She says and I nod "Thanks, I worked up and appetite apparently." I say and I walk back to the kitchen and put in my order. I make my way back to the employee bathroom which is close to Luke's office. I see him sitting at his desk when I pass by. He looks up just as I make it to the bathroom.

I come back out and head toward the bar to wait on my food. As I pass by his office again I hear him yell "Olivia." I turn around and stand in his door way. "Yeah?" I ask trying to sound casual. "Can you come in here for a minute" he asks and I nod. "Uhh sure." I say as I walk into his office and he nods toward the chair in front of his desk for me to sit.

He just stares at me and then sighs. He stands up and walks around his desk and sits on the edge in front of me. "Look Liv, I just want to say how awful I feel about what I said earlier. I can't stop thinking about it. I didn't mean it the way it sounded and I'm sorry. I just meant that there is so much that you went through and I don't even know any of it. I know it was bad and it probably affected you in more ways than you even know at the moment. That's all I meant. I like you Liv. I don't have this feeling alot..well honestly ever. Not for a long long time anyway. I don't want to think I messed this up because of my dumbass mouth."

I can tell he means every word he said. He looks sad. I nod " I appreciate your honesty Luke. You're right though. I don't know all the ways that I'm messed up yet. But I can tell you that I'm happier than I've been in a long time and I feel safe and that's huge for me. I like you too Luke and I'd like to explore whatever this is between us. I was instantly drawn to you and that doesn't happen for me either. I thought it would take a lot longer for me to trust someone and feel safe with them but it was almost instant with you. But I don't want you or anyone else to treat me differently just because of what I've been through." I tell him and he takes my hands and pulls me up. I'm standing in between his legs and he puts his hands on the back of my legs right under my ass. I lean in and kiss him. It starts slow and then grows needy quickly. He stands up and backs me up against the wall. I groan when I feel his erection against me. I rock into it and now he groans. He breaks the kiss and puts his forehead against mine.

"We better stop now before I take this any further and I won't be able to stop." He says with his chest heaving. I find the courage to take my hand and cup him through his jeans. My God he feels huge. I run my hand up and down a few times whisper "Maybe I don't want you to stop."  and he kisses me again. "You are going to be the death of me" he says as he kisses my neck. Then he backs away. "It pains me to say this but we can't do this here. Not right now anyway. Someone will come looking for us soon and I'm tired of getting interrupted with you." He says and I nod. "You're right. I just.." I start to say but then I stop. I shake my head embarrassed. "You what? Don't go shy on me now." He says and I say "I've never wanted someone so bad the way that I want you. I had sex with Logan but never had an orgasm. He took what he needed and then he was done, didn't care if I got what I needed. I never wanted to have sex with him after a while. It wasn't something I enjoyed with him. But with you, Im so attracted to you Luke and I feel things I never have before and you've barely touched me." I say and look down

He lifts my face up so I can look at him in the eyes. "Trust me Liv, I want you too and when the time comes, you will definitely enjoy it. I don't want to push you into it too soon. We can take our time. When you are ready, I'll take care of you." He says and I get giant butterflies in my stomach.

"When you say things like that, I could jump you right here." I laugh and he does too. "Noted. You like a little dirty talk" he says and my face turns red. "Hey, don't be embarrassed to say what you like. You have to completely honest for it to work." He says and I nod. He kisses me one more time before he reluctantly pulls away.

"I put in an order for food, I'm going to go see if it's done." I tell him and he nods. "Ok." He says and as I turn away and start walking toward the door. He says "Hey Liv." And I turn around "Yeah Luke?"

"Don't give anyone else your number. I don't share." He says and I nod. "Ok." I all I say before I head toward the kitchen.

I walk out to the bar with my food and I sit at the end of the bar. Lexi comes over and gives me a grin. "What?" I ask her and she shakes her head. "Nothing. Just your lipstick is smudged again. And I bet $100 if I went to see my dear ole big brother in his office, he would be wearing a matching shade." She says and I cough and choke on a bite. "I don't know what you are talking about." I say eventually and at that moment, Luke walks up and sure enough, he does have some of my lipstick on him. Lexi laughs and he looks at her in question. "Nice lipstick." She tells him and he looks at me fighting a grin and I bury my face in my hands. "Thanks, it's my new favorite shade." He tells her and then walks away. She laughs. "Oh. Big brother has got it bad for you. This is going to be so much fun."
