Five Nights at Freddy's: The Tales of a Corrupted Soul

Chapter 2: The Birth of a Killer

After the death of his youngest son, Evan, William Afton created 4 new animatronics to keep an eye on Michael and make sure he never forgot about what he did. William tried to forget about his son's passing but he couldn't. Henry made a security puppet to keep his daughter, Charlie safe. One day, Charlie was locked out of the diner and the puppet was stuck in a box, thus leading William to drive her over.

To William, this felt good, it felt calming to him. He dragged Charlie's body to an alleyway and when the puppet finally got out, it saw the dead body of Charlie and it malfunctioned due to the rain. Suddenly, the spirit of Charlie bonded with the puppet and Fredbear's Family Diner shut down after both children's demise. William's wife left him after the closure. Henry suspected William to have killed his daughter but there was no proof.

The two continued their business at the newly opened Freddy Fazbear's Pizza but William wanted to have more.  More of that feeling when he killed Charlie. One day, William decided to use his old Spring Bonnie suit and lure 5 children to the back room of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. With a knife, he killed all 5 children, one at a time. To make sure there was no proof he killed the children, he stuffed each body in the animatronics, thus marking the "missing children's incident". 

After the closure of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, Henry and William split up and William decided to make a dedicated business just for killing children. He called the business "Afton Robtotics" where he would make animatronics to kill children. This business was in a secret bunker in his house so that he could keep an eye on his other 2 children, Michael and Elizabeth. 

Henry decided to open a new restaurant under the Freddy Fazbear name.  When William noticed that Henry opened a new restaurant and that he was looking for a security guard, this was William's chance to kill more children. He applied and got the job. After getting the job, 5 more children fell victim to William's murderous spree. This time, he didn't try to hide the bodies and he just left them. The newly re-opened Freddy Fazbear's Pizza had shut down. Before he left the pizzeria, William noticed something. The old withered animatronics were moving as if they were trying to save the children. It was like William had given life to them somehow and it started with the "Puppet". He wanted and needed to find out how he was doing that so he opened a "sister" location to the now-closed Freddy Fazbear's Pizza called "Circus Baby's Pizza World".  He needed to keep experimenting, not just killing children. William needed them alive. 

William created a new breed of animatronic. He called them the "Funtime" animatronics. These new "endoskeletons" can capture children, and mimic children's voices. William re-created Freddy and Foxy and made two new animatronics, Ballora and Circus Baby. Ballora was an homage to his wife and the main mascot, "Baby/Circus Baby" was an homage to his daughter, Elizabeth. Baby's true purpose was to suck a child into her stomach whenever they were alone and kill them. One day before the opening, William decided to show Elizabeth the new restaurant and show her Baby but when William had left her alone with Baby, Elizabeth got too close to Baby, and Baby sucked her in, killing her.

After that, William canceled the restaurant due to a "gas leak", and he discovered something. Something he thought would be connected to the other animatronics. When interacting with Baby, it felt like he could sense his daughter's presence but he didn't know how. Baby's eyes were blue before she killed Elizabeth but now, when William came back, her eyes were green like his daughter.  William decided to go back to the old and now abandoned Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria locations to examine the other animatronics. 

When he got to the old, broken-down restaurants, he started to remember how it started. How it started with his and Henry's partnership until now. William went in every night to lure the living animatronics and he took them apart. He robbed them of their endoskeletons, the metal that had the remnants of life,  the remnants of poor broken souls. He took the endoskeletons back to his lab and melted the metal while Baby watched. He injected the metal into another endoskeleton and the coils reacted as if the metal were alive. But the movements were violent, unexpectedly violent. He hadn't experienced this with Baby. Maybe it was the mixture of portions of different souls that had created an incomplete beast.

William went back to the pizzeria to see if he had left any scraps or remains of the dismantled animatronics. Suddenly ghosts attacked William. The victims of William's corrupted soul came to collect their debt. The 5 lined up and blocked the door. Afton's mind was staggered. The science behind this was incredible!  These were ghosts, real ghosts, standing against him. What could these ghosts do? What couldn't they do? William panicked when one of the ghosts approached him. How could you stop something already dead?  William saw the suit, the suit he famously used to kill all these children. He put the suit on and started laughing as if he were trying to mock them,  but not before the spring locks inside the suit activated, killing William entirely.  William would not go down without a fight.  He'd famously stated that he always came back.   All he could do is... survive.
