You held the stack of papers in your arms to your chest as you made your way around the church. After you finished handing off some mail to Sister Ivory, you finally made your last stop by the band room where you could already hear the smooth tune of 'Zenith' playing in the distance, you even felt a little bad for interrupting them since they were in the middle of the beautiful song. But, duties call. So you settled three loud knocks on the big door so they would be able to hear you clearly.
The instruments each stopped and there was a bit of muffled talking from behind the door, then footsteps inching closer and closer to the door before it swung open to reveal the quintessence ghoul, Phantom.
"Just the ghoul I was looking for." You sent a small smile his way as you began fumbling through the rest of the papers and eventually found them, handing them over to Phantom.
He smiled at you ever so sweetly and then took them from your hand, his cold fingers brushing against your own. It sent a cold chill down your spine.
"Thanks, beautiful." The ghoul said slyly, his golden eyes meeting yours for a split second before you were faced with the thick wooden door once more. You just stared there for a couple of long second before finally backing away and letting your arms hit your body. Did he just...?
You cleared your throat and shook off that unnerving feeling that Phantom had something for you. Did the other ghouls hear him? You hoped not.
You still had a blush on your face when you reached your room and lied down on your bed. On your stomach, you put your head on the pillow and reminisce on the thing that's been in your mind this entire time. Maybe you were thinking on it too much, or maybe you might've been onto something. That look in his eye.. It was too sultry to not mean anything.
Though your thinking session was soon interrupted by the sound of your door swinging open, closing itself even faster as someone came in, you couldn't quite see who though, which made your senses go up and your heart start pounding. It was around time that ghouls got really sensitive with their emotions and feeling, which heightened their abilities and such. Were you possibly in danger?
"Boo."
Your heart almost leapt out of your chest, you looked beside you, only for your expression to drop, and an annoyed one to take over. "Sodo.." You now scowled.
He smirked and leaned in to steal a kiss from you. "How's my favorite girl doing?"
You sighed, trying to calm yourself down after that. "Just perfect." You mumbled, looking away as you leaned down on the pillow yet again, he was just perfect but you had different things on your mind at the moment. You didn't know why, but you suddenly blurted out what was on your mind. "Did you hear Phantom? When I was dropping off that letter to him?" You looked over into his dark eyes again, your eyes showed your emotions clearly to him.
You watched as his expression darkened. "And?" He sat up, leaning against your headboard, glaring down at you.
"Wasn't it kind of weird?" You inquired.
Sodo shrugged his shoulders. "I guess."
Well his attitude changed really quickly. You sat up and faced him. "What do you mean you guess?" You looked at him for a couple of seconds before speaking again. "Do you think he's into me or something?"
"I don't know. Do you want him to be?" He replied back to you, his tone being snarky and condescending. You turned confused.
He had you stumbling over your own words at this point. "Well, no..."
"—Okay, leave it be then." He interrupted you, looking away again.
You knew why he was being so moody, but it didn't mean that you liked it. He had a mean attitude but you didn't want to get in his way, so you just stopped trying. Now your own mood was altered. "Fine."
