Ji-hyun opens his eyes with a glass of wine at his lips as he feels a burst of wind from behind. He slowly lowers the glass and takes a deep breath as he hears someone storming up to him.
"Well, manners are definitely something you don't -" Ji-hyun starts, but Jungkook slaps the glass out of Ji-hyun's hand and then grabs Ji-hyun's shirt.
Jungkook pulls Ji-hyun to the side and slams Ji-hyun into the wall, and the wall cracks around Ji-hyun. Ji-hyun grunts in pain, but Jungkook leans into his face and pushes harder against him. Ji-hyun clenches his teeth as he stares at Jungkook's glowing eyes and the black lines that spread out around them.
"What did you do to the kid?" Jungkook snarls.
Ji-hyun scoffs and rolls his eyes, but Jungkook tightens his grip and leans closer to Ji-hyun's face.
"Always quick to blame me. Just like humans. I'm always the monster in the end, huh?" Ji-hyun says calmly while studying Jungkook's expression.
"I won't ask again." Jungkook threatens as blood starts to soak Ji-hyun's shirt from Jungkook's hand.
Ji-hyun glares back at Jungkook before a cold smile slowly spreads across Ji-hyun's face. Jungkook grits his teeth as Ji-hyun leans forward and into Jungkook's ear.
"I wouldn't threaten me, Jungkook. That kid will suffer because of your outbursts." Ji-hyun whispers and leans back, smiling with glowing eyes.
Jungkook pulls Ji-hyun off the wall and turns, then throws Ji-hyun across the room. Ji-hyun rolls to a stop, and Jungkook storms towards him but stops as Ji-hyun suddenly starts laughing to himself. Ji-hyun forces himself up and starts laughing louder as Jungkook cautiously walks a little closer.
"Everyone thinks I'm weak. Everyone, everyone, everyone." Ji-hyun mumbles to himself before he laughs again and puts his hand on his face, then laughs louder.
Jungkook clenches his fists and looks around the ground as sparks of red lights start to spread around Ji-hyun's feet. Ji-hyun chuckles and lowers his hand from his face as the sparks flash higher around Ji-hyun's legs.
"Ji-hyun. You're insane." Jungkook speaks up calmly while creating his sword by his side.
Jungkook squeezes his sword as Ji-hyun turns his head and looks at Jungkook with a wide smile as blood starts to seep through the red lines around his eyes.
"Words, words, make the wish. Up and up and over the moon. Words, words. Words, words." Ji-hyun mumbles before he lowers his head and laughs to himself.
Jungkook's expression softens, and the lines disappear from his eyes before he sighs to himself.
"Humans hurt you more than I will ever understand, I know." Jungkook says as Ji-hyun repeats the same thing over and over again to himself. "They sold you, beat you, tortured you, and locked you up."
"Words..." Ji-hyun trails off, and his smile slowly drops before he glares at Jungkook.
Jungkook lifts his free hand to try and keep Ji-hyun from making any moves.
"I know you suffer from memories that I wish I could erase for you, but I can't." Jungkook continues and takes a step closer, but Ji-hyun's expression darkens.
"Don't treat me like some animal. I am not some beaten dog you want to take in and fix." Ji-hyun snaps and turns to face Jungkook then lifts his hand out toward Jungkook.
Jungkook doesn't budge as he glances at Ji-hyun's open hand, then looks back at Ji-hyun.
"Come back to us, Jungkook. Humans will never change and don't deserve mercy." Ji-hyun says coldly and stretches out his hand a little more.
