Ji-hyun bolts up in his bed and yells fearfully. Sweat runs down his face and neck as he breathes rapidly and looks around his room. He drops his head and weakly lifts his trembling hands and puts them in his face.
"Another nightmare?"
Ji-hyun flinches as Seul-ki's voice speaks up in front of him. Ji-hyun lowers his trembling hands, and he weakly looks up to see Seul-ki sitting on the edge of his bed. A smile weakly spreads across Ji-hyun's face as Seul-ki smiles softly at him.
"Oh, Seul-ki. Y-you stayed. I thought that -" Ji-hyun stops, and his eyes widen as his hand goes through Seul-ki and Seul-ki disappears in front of him.
Ji-hyun lets out a broken laugh as tears start to fall down his face as he stares at the emptiness in front of him. He slides back against the wall and picks up his knees as he slides his hands in his hair as tears now stream down his face. He cries loudly and squeezes his head as his body still trembles. He yells through his tears and covers his head with his arms to try and hide.
"Words, words, make the wish. Up and up and over the moon. Words, words. Words, words." Ji-hyun mumbles through his tears and takes a deep breath. "I'm awake. I'm talking, see? Words, words, make the wish. Up and up and over the moon. Words, words. Words, words."
Ji-hyun buries his face more in his knees as he tries to muffle his cries.
"Seul-ki... I need you."
_________________Jungkook comes down the stairs and stops in his tracks as he sees the kid and Iseul sitting on the living room floor with flowers and rocks. The kid quickly lowers his head and shifts in his spot, so Iseul turns around. Iseul frowns as Hyun-woo looks up from reading a book.
"Go away, Uncle." Iseul snaps.
Hyun-woo lowers his book with a shocked expression and leans towards Iseul as guilt washes over Jungkook again.
"Iseul, you do not speak to your uncle like that. Apologize now." Hyun-woo orders.
Iseul turns to Hyun-woo completely offended and crosses his arms as the kid shyly looks at Iseul.
"I don't want to! Uncle hurt my friend last night on purpose! Uncle is mean and makes my friend uncomfortable!" Iseul says firmly.
Hyun-woo is taken back and looks at the kid for confirmation so the kid slightly nods his head. Hyun-woo frowns and shoots Jungkook and icy glare, making Jungkook feel more ashamed.
"Jungkook, let's get some air. Shall we?" Hyun-woo says sharply as he throws his book onto the couch and stands up angrily.
Jungkook obediently walks to the door with his head down, so Hyun-woo smiles warmly at the two kids.
"You two keep playing. I'll be back in a few minutes." Hyun-woo says softly before glaring at Jungkook and pointing for him to walk outside.
Jungkook and Hyun-woo walk outside, so Iseul smiles at the kid and slides closer to him.
"Don't worry. I'll stay by your side." Iseul says proudly, making the kid smile widely and nod.
Hyun-woo turns from the door and glares at Jungkook, who is sliding his hand through his hair while sighing.
"Have you lost your mind? You not only hurt the kid but did so in front of my son." Hyun-woo snaps.
Jungkook drops his hand to his side before he puts his hands on his hips and walks away with his head down before walking back up to Hyun-woo.
"I wasn't thinking straight. I -"
"Clearly." Hyun-woo interrupts.
Jungkook sighs again and lowers his arms as Hyun-woo studies him angrily.
