chapter two :: hidden genius.

It takes a genius to know a genius. 

Ever since his parents' demise, Seungmin had always been cautious of the world surrounding him. 

It starts out like this: him meeting Felix for the first time. 

''Hey, you're a new student, right?'' 

A voice just beside him scares the shit outta Seungmin. He looked to his left and saw a guy (presumably his classmate) standing and staring down at him with a toothy grin. Seungmin would've laughed at his stupid/cute smile if he wasn't so startled and taken aback, cause who the fuck smiles so wide at a stranger?

''Uh, yeah. I'm new here. '' He replied and then watched the guy grin wider if it was even possible and take a seat beside him. 

''Hey, then! My name is Felix!'' the guy (Felix apparently) introduced himself, his hand stretched out towards Seungmin. 

Seungmin's mind went blank for a second before he realised he was in the middle of a fucking conversation and that he was supposed to introduce himself. 

''Oh, I-I'm Seungmin... nice to meet you. '' He said awkwardly and watched Felix purse his lips together before retrieving his hands back sadly. Seungmin watched Felix's expression in confusion, only to realise he forgot to shake his hand. Now he seems like a complete jerk. How convenient. 

Needless to say, their first meeting was awkward. But as time passed by, they gradually became comfortable with each other's presence. 

''Let's play twenty-one questions. ''

Said Felix. Seungmin looks beside him in shock.

''Felix. I think you've forgotten we're in the middle of Physics!'' He whisper-shouted to the freckled boy who chuckled and shrugged shamelessly. ''So what? I'm bored, and I don't like the way you're giving away all your attention to this stupid teacher. ''

''Okay, first of all, I'm giving my attention to the teacher cause I wanna learn and pass. Second of all, don't you wanna learn and pass?'' He retorted to which Felix replied with a shrug yet again. 

''All I know is I'm bored and wanna talk to you. ''

Seungmin sighed and returned his eyes to his book. 

Well... it's not like he can't study at home, right? And if Seungmin was being brutally honest, his brain was getting kinda fried. So he agreed to play with Felix and the latter beamed with happiness. 

''Kay then, I'll start. What's your favourite film?'' Asked Felix and Seungmin actually had to take his mind back to all the films he had ever watched because he couldn't remember even one at the moment. 

''Uhm... I don't watch films that often, but... I'll say hmm... Shutter Island. '' He replied and Felix nodded. 

''I see. ''

''So... when's your birthday?'' Seungmin was the one who asked this time. 

"Fifteenth September. Yours?"

"Oh... mine is on the twenty-second. "

Felix's eyes widened, and he gasped. "You can not be kidding me right now. Are you telling me we're practically a week apart?"

Seungmin thought for a second. "I guess so. "

The latter beamed and scooted closer to the younger. "Seungmin, what the hell!!" He whisper-shouted excitedly. "I can't wait to tell hyung that I finally found a Virgo baby!"

Seungmin's eyebrows furrowed in confusion.

Hyung? Felix never mentioned him having a brother as far as he could remember. He has always seen Felix walk home alone, come home alone. Neither did he ever receive any call from home. Absolutely no sign of familial connection at all. That got him questioning,
