**Jamie's POV**

Jen arrived a little after 9pm,, escorted by two warriors from the Cotleigh pack. She was shaming as she entered the room and Charlie went over to her immediately.

"It's okay, Jen, you're not in any trouble, se just need your help," he reassured, guiding her to a seat on the sofa. Sarah untangled herself from Osian's arms and ran over, engulfing her in a hug.

"Jen I thought he killed you, I'm so glad you're alive and safe," she breathed.

"I'm sorry, do I know you?" Jen asked, leaning back to get a better look at Sarah, who shared a sad look with her mate.

We took turns explaining everything we knew to Jen. I told her how Gracie had first met her in a hostel in London, how she had looked after my mate, helped her get clean and trained with her. That Cain had taken them both under the guise of being an after-care support worker giving teenagers a second chance. That she'd figured something out one day and was trying to get Gracie out of there before they were imprisoned in the dungeon.

Sarah went over everything that happened in the dungeon. Osian struggled to hear it and ended up sitting on the sofa, her in his lap, burying his face in her hair while she described the beatings. Zayn stood still at my side, his knuckles white with tension while hearing how his fellow Alpha's mate was treated. She told us everything and knew about Cain and his rogue pack, giving us all the details she could that might help us track and take them down.

Finn jumped in to explain the rescue mission, telling everyone how we thought it was just Sarah there but he found Gracie, and that Jen was long gone. Osian had tears in his eyes when he thanked Finn for rescuing his mate, and Finn fiercely insisted that half the gratitude belonged to Evan, and that getting his mate back to him was the best way to thank him. I smiled at my Gamma, not wavering in his loyalty to his Beta for one second, even under such difficult circumstances, even while lesser wolves would be looking for ways to use this to their advantage and climb the ranks. My heart swelled with pride.

Jen was, of course, horrified. She told us what she remembered - going to Colombia with the Ballyronan pack to help them set up a primary school for their outreach project. She described the village in great detail, but started to panic when she realised she couldn't picture the faces of the people she worked with or bring any of their names to mind.

Charlie managed to calm her down, and we all realised that she was under a spell. As a wolf-witch Hybrid, Cain's magic was seemingly much stronger than we had thought. Osian vowed that Myfanwy would help when she arrived, that her coven felt very strongly about magic being used harnfullt and would do everything in her power to help Jen. I was filled with newfound hope, knowing Myfanwy was on her way.

Things had finally settled down a little when Alpha Noah arrived. News of his landing on the island sent a wave of tension across the room. This was the first time the Alpha of the Braemar pack had left Scotland in over a hundred years. They were known to be fierce warriors who kept to themselves. Having him on our side was a big deal, but while we all had huge respect for Noah, we also had a healthy dose of fear. Alpha Zayn carried the burden of his packs last Alpha's waging war on this country, he carried their shame and dishonour but also their anger. He was brutal, and Noah made him look like a pup.

The door to my suite flew open and we collectively held our breath as he entered. His kilt, in his family's traditional tartan, billowed from the power in his walk. His pale face was twisted in outrage, framed by long brown hair and a scruffy beard. He was the same age as the rest of us but felt so much older. I refused to be intimidated on my own land, Sable stirred inside me, forcing me to stand taller, squaring my shoulders as I addressed him.
