Sidharth 's car/Sidharth 's office -night
A small town ghazal singer . Almost in tune but the Urdu pronunciation are all over the place. Some cops are seated in the plastic chairs in the front of an improvised stage with their families . some children play around. They have no interest in anything but the coca cola and the food . Sidharth 's car drives into the office behind Brahmadatt 's jeep . Sidharth has freshened up. He is in a suit and tie now. As Sidharth gets out the car , Myank, 27, his PA, greets him.
Mayank (M) - Hello sir, I am Mayank . Your PA.
Sidharth shakes his hands.
S- Hi Mayank...
BS- sir aapki ki singal molt ka information inhone hi diya tha aapka Facebook dekh ke..
M- instagram sir.
Sidharth amused at the unequal digital education as he walks towards the people mostly in uniform , they approach Sidharth to welcome him . SP SUBODH LAL appears at his office door.
SUBODH LAL (SL)- aao bhai Sidharth . So good to see you before I leave .
S- same here sir.
BD pours single malt .
SL - ( to Sidharth) tumhare dad ko main follow karta hoon. I am a fan of his book.
BS- writer hain sir aapke Pita ji?
SL - arey very senior IFS officer .abhi retire hue to kitaab likhi ek. kammal. Bade vidwaan admi ke bete ke saath baithe hai hum log Barhmdatt ji.
(To Sidharth) Mera khayal se aapki Saarinen education toh Bahar hi hui hogi?
S- ji but graduation Delhi se ki hai . St Stephans. Dad ne ek din bol diya ki ho Gaye Tera Europe, ab wapas chal India.
SL - aur first posting Surbrah?
S - ( leans over to whisper joklingly) punishment mila hai sir.
SL - kyu ? Kisi se jjagada ho gya tha?
S - nahi sir, pyaar mohabbat mein hi ho gaya. SHASTRI sir ko cool sir bol diya tha.
SL can't hold his laughter.
SL- Shastri sir ko?
Sidharth nods as SL continues to laugh uncontrollably.
BS doesn't get the joke completely but he laughs too.
BS- ( to junior officer) Mohan Mohan Shastri . Secretary sahab.
SL - tumne Shastri ji ko cool bola ?
S- passing out party thi sir, unhone kuchh bola toh Maine bol diya , cool sir..
SL - phir kya bole vo?
Chup Rahe 2 second.. phir bole COOL!
SL- phir toh bhai 7- 8 mahine rahana padega idhar.
Sidharth notices a man in another corner drinking with other officers . He is surprised.
S - ye Satyendra..
BS- Satyendra Rai hain . Aap jante hain inhe?
S - dost Hai meta Delhi mein . Prelims ki taiyyaari saath ki thi humane.
Sidharth walks towards him excited. BS follow him.
BS - achha ye IAS bhi diye thay? Yahaan pollution control board mein zonal officer hain.
Satyendra is drunk . Sidharth pats his shoulder . Satyendra truns and it takes him a moment to acknowledge that he recognize Sidharth. Satyendra is expressionless . Sidharth was expecting a much enthusiastic response.
