A Miraculous Christmas

Melting The Ice

Cat Noir spun his stick, dodging the sharp pieces of ice. Ladybug shielded herself using her yo-yo. "Be careful Cat Noir!"

Glacial Heart hissed. "Give up, before I bring in my new tactics." Ladybug and Cat noir, side by side, barely missing the pointed icy blows were talking in whispers. "This is time for the flight mode."

"Of course my lady, I'll make the distraction, meet me at the train station." 

She nodded, before giving him a glance saying 'be careful'. Cat Noir just smirked and told her to leave at the cue. "What happened kids? Tired already?" 

"No grandpa, this ain't my first rodeo. Cataclysm!" Cat Noir swiftly dived to the ground and hit it with his hand as Ladybug leaped, vanishing in thin air. The villain screamed as he felt himself fall below. Whilst falling, he blindly hit Cat Noir's ankle, the hero groaned but he could not waste any time here. With this thought he pounced from building to building, letting out a painful hiss every time his foot touched the surface.

Glacial Heart lay unconscious in the sewers, giving our heroes sometime to plan.

Cat Noir was walking with the support of stick by the time he reached the station entrance, he could not have taken the direct path, what if he was followed? Here had recharged his powers and fed Plagg behind a huge billboard before resuming his journey. As he started to climb down the stairs, a disbalance caused him to roll down, landing on the frozen floor.

Ladybug gasped, "Cat, what happened?" She helped him up but he filched. "Are you injured? Did the distraction lead to this? I should've stayed with you, we should've escaped together-"

"M'lady, it's alright. We had an escape plan that worked." He gave a warm smile. "And it is a just a small injury, nothing serious, once we defeat him your miraculous ladybugs will heal this too." Cat Noir added. 

Ladybug let out a sigh, she sat beside him. "Okay."

"Let's get to the plan then, we may not have a lot of time." 

"Yes, so what we know is that his powers are all ice related and stuff, there is no place where his akuma can be, so either is not on him or we just cannot see it." Ladybug said.

"You're right, I did not see any accessory or any tool that could have the akuma." Cat Noir agreed. "Guess, a little luck is all we need, Lucky Charm!" Ladybug tossed her yo-yo up in the air, creating a bright red light in the subway. A red hairdryer with black dots all over it fell into her hands. 

Ladybug looked at it in confusion, her eyes were wandering onto the words encrypted at it's edge and her eyebrows were furrowed. 

"A little small for the whole city isn't it?" Cat Noir spoke. 

"It says here that this is a very powerful one, maybe it's a clue, maybe Glacial Heart's akuma is somewhere in a hair salon or somewhere. " She guessed, too late now. A loud sound filled the subway station, a crash and a whistle. Ladybug got up at once, Cat Noir took a little time but got up, holding his stick for support.

"Someone has been naughty this year." A grumpy voice through the whistling sound of a blizzard said. "Time for your punishment, Ladybug and Cat Noir!" Glacial Heart entered, directing the snow storm towards them.

Ladybug wrapped the hairdryer onto her waist and grabbing Cat Noir with one hand, zoomed to the other side, gliding on the top of the train, landing perfectly on her feet. "M'lady you can put me down."

"You can't even stand up right now, and we are having this conversation after I figure out what this hairdryer is for." She took a turn and jumped into a vent. Ladybug and Cat Noir both quietly crawled till they reached  to a point where they could monitor Glacial Heart.

"Oh dear heroes!" Glacial Heart sung. "Come out now, you know now that you can run but not hide!" He turned to the vent, still calling them out and Ladybug's vision highlighted the candy cane embedded in his chest, under several layers of ice. She then looked at the hairdryer and one thing more, Cat Noir's belt.

"Cat," she whispered. "I think I have a plan." She whispered the plan her mind had plotted to him. "There is a socket there." He pointed to the wall just behind Glacial Heart. "I tie him, you fry him." He said.

Ladybug giggled quietly and shook her head, "Let's go!" She kicked open the vent, the broken pieces hit Glacial Heart as he took a step back. Ladybug landed on the iced ground and tripped him. Cat Noir jumped down, ignoring the pain in his ankle. He quickly tied the villain's hands together and pulled the rest of the belt, tightening the hold.

Glacial Heart screeched, feeling the discomfort and tried to free his hands. Ladybug threw her yo-yo at the frozen socket, breaking the layer of ice. Cat Noir held the periphery of the belt and jumped into the air. He rolled the belt around the vent, hanging Glacial Heart by his hands.

"Release me!" He shouted, his grueling voice echoing through the station. Ladybug plugged in the dryer and aimed it at Glacial Heart who was at the perfect distance. "Get ready for warming up!" She turned on the dryer that expelled hot air, too fast and too strong. Both the heroes squinted their eyes.

"NOOO!!!!" Glacial Heart screamed, the layers office on his chest melting rapidly. Ladybug held onto the hairdryer till the candy cane finally fell out. "Cat Noir!" She called out. "Cataclysm!" He charged his power and turned the cany cane to black dust. An akuma flew out from the pile of dust and Ladybug captured it.

"No more evil-doing for you little akuma! Time to de-evilise." She let out a white butterfly and wished it farewell and grabbed the hairdryer. She glanced at Cat Noir and threw the Lucky Charm up in the air. "Miraculous Ladybug!" A shiny, glittering effect turned everything back to normal, unfroze  the city as well as repaired all the damage, turned Glacial Heart back to the young Victor and healed Cat Noir.
