It was January 8th, 2010. Geoff had just gotten back from surfing, which was easily noticeable from his soaked jacket and soggy hair, contrasting with slightly burnt skin. However, something was visibly off. Geoff's deep blue eyes appeared dun, and his facial expression was quite solemn, and there was no sign of a smile. He paced frantically down the street, beads of sweat slowly starting to form on his face. Something was wrong, but nobody could actually pinpoint what it was. Geoff's footsteps banged louder and louder on the slightly melted concrete as his face twisted and turned with what looked like pure terror. His walking had now turned into a run, his arms flinging aimlessly, which wasn't his usual controlled jog. Then he turned. Geoff turned past the gas station, heading towards the old lake. Nobody dared to go near the lake, but Geoff took his chances.

As Geoff approached the lake, he ignored the 2nd set of footsteps, pattering softly behind him. They sounded familiar, like an old memory. He just assumed it was one of his friends, since they tended to linger behind Geoff, simply because he was larger, standing at 6'3.That didn't change anything though, it wouldn't change anything now at all. Geoff came to a halt, looking to both sides. He didn't bother with what was behind him though, he didn't think he was in danger at all. Geoff then through what looked like a phone into the lake, a slight bubble rising to the surface before it quickly sank. Finally, a smile wiped his once dulled face, as if he had disposed of something bothering him. He still didn't bother to check behind him, he was completely oblivious to what was there. Or was he?

Geoff's head slowly moved to look behind him, to find a disgusting monstrosity of a creature behind him. It had long, bony fingers caked in dirt, with skin paler then his old goth friend he met... He actually forgot about her until he laid eyes onto it. It's lean body crackled with every slight movement, and most of all; it's face twitched, smiling widely. Geoff blinked, and it vanished. He then returned his focus to the lake, dumping a black choker into the waters. For a moment, he laughed loudly, until a hand curled around his shoulder. He recognized the spiky bracelet, and before he could get away, everything went dark. The last he remembered was a slicked green mohawk.
