The Coach's voice reverberated with a stern and annoyed tone as Alistair strode through the bustling corridor in search of Liam. "If someone sees Garret, tell the police. And tell that idiot he's no longer in my freaking team."
Amid the school's chaos, Alistair finally spotted Liam. Scott and his father were seemed to be engaged in an intense conversation. Lacking superhuman hearing, Alistair couldn't discern the specifics of their dialogue, but the absence of hostility in their body language was a promising sign.
Gently placing a reassuring hand on Liam's shoulder, Alistair's attention was drawn to Deputy Parrish escorting a seemingly unflinching Violet down the corridor. Strangely, even as the police led her away, her demeanor appeared far from frightened; in fact, it bore an air of satisfaction, almost as if everything unfolded exactly according to her design. Yet, an instinctual feeling within Alistair told him that was bullshit.
Approaching Scott with Liam in tow, the alpha inquired, "Where's Kira?"
"She left. Lydia unlocked the second part of the list," came Alistiar's response.
"Her mother is there," Scott added.
"We are all there," Liam interjected with a tremor of fear permeating his voice.
"Not you," Scott attempted to assert.
"Not yet," countered Liam. "There's still a third of the list missing."
Alistair met Liam's eyes, his expression serious. "It doesn't matter. We won't let anything happen to you. You are not on your own." The boy could only offer a nod in response.
Meanwhile, in a separate room, the Sheriff, David, Rafael, and Parrish were trying to question Violet.
"A Thermo-Cut Wire is a highly unusual weapon, Violet," Rafael pressed, his voice carrying a note of skepticism. "We have a file documenting a very similar weapon's involvement in more than two other murders."
"I don't know what you're talking about," she attempted to deny with a hint of smugness. "I only go to school here." David, however, couldn't comprehend how she could be so sure to be let out of custody when she looked so smug and conspicuous.
"Maybe we should call your parents," David quipped with a trace of sarcasm and a feigned pout, "Oh, wait. You have none." Violet's smug smirk rapidly disintegrated, leaving her infuriated. "That's why they call you 'The Orphans'." With that final remark and a smirk, David gestured the deputies to escort her out, her face twisted in anger.
Turning to the others, Rafael asserted, "We need to find her boyfriend, Garret."
They had barely arrived at the animal clinic when Brett started to convulse, and from his mouth oozed a luminous, phosphorescent yellow foam.
Frantic and struggling to restrain Brett, Stiles blurted out, "What the hell is happening to him?!"
Michelle, exerting her force to immobilize Brett's legs, responded through gritted teeth, "That bitch said it's a very special type of wolfsbane."
"I need to make an incision. You need to hold him very still." Deaton instructed.
Growing increasingly fatigued by the struggle, Michelle was on the verge of paralyzing Brett's body with magic. However, before she could act, Brett seemed to regain a moment of clarity. In a desperate and confused attempt to break free, he pushed everyone away, forcefully throwing Derek and Stiles, who had been gripping his arms, to the floor. Michelle narrowly evaded his flailing legs.
As Brett stood up, panic gripped him entirely. He darted his frantic gaze at each of them, searching for an escape route. Spotting Michelle as a potential obstacle on his path to freedom, he approached her. It was a grave miscalculation. With growing irritation, Michelle extended her arm and, in a hushed tone, uttered, "Somnus." Instantly, Brett collapsed to the floor, sound asleep.
