We got our timetables today and we all have potions first. James and Sirius are excited at the idea of blowing something up, and Remus is interested in the science of it along with cures for diseases that could be mad, and Peter well I don't really know what goes on in that boys head. I'm excited for the same reason as James and Sirius I mean who doesn't like blowing things up and think of all the pranks we could come up with using potions. Changing peoples hair, clothes, teeth. I look up to see Remus waving a hand in my face "Are you still with us Accio?" he asks laughing I shove his hand out my face "Shut up Remus" We get our school books and head off to potions let's not forget that we have potions with Slytherin. We enter the room and are the first ones there. James runs to the back of the room and sits at the end of the row and Sirius sits next to him, I sit next to Sirius, Remus sits next to me, and Peter sits next to him. A red head girl in Gryffindor sits in front of James next to a black haired Slytherin boy. James starts staring at her but snaps out of it when Slughorn (the professor) walks in and says "Hello class, this year we will learn the basics of potion making and some lucky ones of you can join my club the slug club, it is for exceedingly intelligent people who seem to be able to achieve anything they wish." The red head seems interested in this but sounds boring to me. Hmm I wonder what she would look like if I switched out her shampoo with a potion I learned over the summer that turn your hair green. I'll have to talk to the boys about that. Slughorn asks the class "Are you familiar with the potion Veritaserum?" I laugh "Does he think we're idiots?" I ask Sirius who shrugs and Red and her Slytherin friend eagerly raise their hands. "Miss Evans do you know what the potion is?" She nods "Yes sir Veritaserum is a truth serum" She smiles and Slughorn calls on Sirius "Mr. Black would you be willing to test out this potion?" Sirius looks surprised "Um, Sure" Slughorn calls him to the front of the room and hands him a vial. "Go on now my boy. Drink it." Sirius shrugged and drank the vial and Slughorn looked around. "Miss Potter you as well" I nod and drank a vial of the potion. Slughorn looked at Sirius "Mr. Black what is your favorite color?" "Black sir" Sirius said and Slughorn nodded "Mr. Black do you like his class?" "Somewhat sir." Sirius said "And Miss Potter do you like ducks?" Slughorn asked "Yes sir" Slughorn looked at the class "Now these questions are harmless but they will force you to tell the truth unless you have an antidote or a very strong mind. Miss Potter read the name on this slip" I did and Slughorn says "Now remember try to resist" I nod and he says "Tell me the name on the paper" I say G-gii-lla sir" He nods "Great first attempt but try to sound more convincing in fact though class the same on the paper was Mary, however maybe if you believe I am out to harm someone close to you, you won't hesitate. Here is a name of someone you know. Now tell me the name." "Rosie sir" He clapped "Well done! The name on the paper was James Potter. Fell safe Mr. Potter your sister won't ever give your name up. Now Mr. Black lets see if you are able to resist" He handed Sirius a paper and Slughorn said "What is the name on the paper?" Sirius didn't even hesitate "Sunny" Slughorn laughed "Well done! The name on the paper was Accio Potter"

We left potions happy as Slughorn gave 60 points to Gryffindor because of us. I hear someone yell my name and turn around and see...
