As Marcus slowly adjusted to his surroundings (and stared at me), Douglas coughed.
"You were pretty hurt, and even though you're all fixed up, you might feel uncoordinated."
"I'm sure I'll be fine, old man." Marcus glared as he got up off the medical table and promptly stumbled onto the ground. Actually, he didn't, because I caught him before he hit the ground, with my stupid bionic arm. At least it's good for something.

Chase chuckled at Marcus afterwards, and I shot him a look. As much as I loved my brother, he can be kind of insensitive sometimes.
"Here, I'll take you up to my room. That's where you'll be staying while you're here." I said as I took him to the elevator, with my arms wrapped around his waist, holding him up. Marcus nodded his head and limped alongside me.
"Let us know if you need anything, Marcus." Douglas shouted as we got into the elevator. Marcus just stared in response.

As the doors closed, Chase sighed.
"We literally saved his life, and he just glares at us in response. So much for a 'thank you'."
I grunted. I'm worried about him, and I don't know if he will be the same kid I raised for so long. Or, I guess, trained. I never did treat him like the kid he is, and I hope he doesn't hold that against me.

In the elevator lights, Leo's eyes sparkled even more. I couldn't look away from him, I was obsessed. I don't remember ever feeling this way before for anyone, let alone Leo. Before, all I wanted to do was hurt him. Why? Why did I want to hurt him so much? Maybe it was just how I was programmed, but I hoped that it would stay this way forever. Finally, I could feel him get uncomfortable, so I pried my eyes away as the door opened.
"Hey mom, I'm gonna take Marcus up to my room." Tasha raised her head from the kitchen sink.
"Okay, I'm just doing dishes now and dinner will be ready in about an hour."
I thanked her as Leo slowly lead me up the stairs. His arms were a strong support, and we got to his room with little struggle.

In his room, there was a made bed, a cot on the ground, a window seat next to the window, and a desk. There was plenty of knickknacks all over, but I could tell he cleaned the room to accommodate for me. My heart fluttered at the sweet gesture.
"We programmed you so that you could recharge in a tube or through sleeping, whichever you would prefer. We don't have a tube open right now, though, so you'll have to sleep. You can take the bed, I'm on the cot. Some of Adam's and Chase's old clothes are in the top drawer, feel free to wear any of them."
"What about your clothes? Can't I wear those too? I bet they would fit." Leo crossed his arms. He was skinny, lanky, but with some muscle hidden underneath his shirt. My torso was a little longer than his, but we were about the same height, so we wore the same size clothes.
"I'm not letting you wear my clothes. You'll stretch them out."
"I will not! We wear the same size clothes!" I argued. Leo opened the door with a towel and change of clothes in hand.
"Well, it doesn't matter because I'm not letting you wear my clothes. I'm gonna take a shower, you can change while I'm gone."
