Guiding light was always by his side and loved him,despite the disagreements on their relationship,Light's parents were okay with it

His parents don't care about him,so he decided to stay with Guiding light for a while

It was their wedding day and they couldn't be happier,The two lovers were finally together

But Guiding light felt like she had to protect Shadow now,Unfortunately He got disowned so she and her family took him in

Headcannon:Shadow's parents Had disowned him because they didn't want to be "related" to their enemies, Protective light and Defense Light

And they were also ashamed by Shadow, since he had disobeyed them for being with Guiding light,plus they didn't want people to question why they let Shadow be with her in the first place
