*Paige's POV*

I can't help but wonder why that Dylan girl has so much control over Bella...

She surely doesn't deserve Bella either.

Nika messaged me asking me if I wanted to get breakfast before practice and I agreed!

I opted for a UConn shirt, grey Nike sweats, and my Jordan's.

I packed my stuff for practice and met Nika at the main athletic dormitory building.

"Where you wanna go?" I asked as she arrived.

"Well I was planning on deciding sometime soon.." she says trailing off causing me to laugh

"Where's Bella?" I ask..just curious!

"Oh..she was sleeping and I didn't want to bother her!" Nika said obviously lying.

"Nika." I said kinda annoyed.

We should we welcoming to new teammates!

"Fine.. she was kinda down last night so I didn't want to bother."

"Oh okay, where should we go to eat?"

"Uh let's do Chick-fil-A!"

"Alright."

We decided to sit inside and a question sparked up.

"What's Bella's deal with Dylan Mcpherson?"

Dylan's a freshman and she's already got a rep.

"They used to date, Dylan cheated on her, they dated again, Dylan cheated again, then Bella broke it off."

"Oh my gosh.." that was horrible!

If I had Bella I'd never treat her like that..

Woahhhh wrong thought!

"Yeah I know.." Nika said trailing off...

"You nervous for practice today?" Nika asks

"Yeah, but it won't be the same with Azzi.."

Azzi, my best friend, had recently tore her ACL and MCL.

This year would be tough but we might be able to pull through..

We got our food and sat down and just chatted about what's going on in our lives.

*Issabella's POV*

I wake up from my alarm and start to get ready for practice.

I decided on some Nike basketball shorts and a UConn shirt.

I packed my basketball shoes, a change of clothes, and my water then grabbed my phone, AirPods, keys, and wallet.

I applied some chapstick then headed out our dorm.

Life was peaceful..until Dylan was waiting for me in the lobby.

"Hey Issa!" She said too happy.

"Go away Dylan."

"Where ya headin?" She ask following me.

"Practice." I say rolling my eyes.

"Great I'll come and watch! I'm not busy anyways.."

"Dylan go away! We aren't dating anymore! You hurt me! I don't want anything to do with you!" I start to raise my voice.

"That's okay. I'm alright with that." She said as she continued following.

I (we) made it to the gym and she still followed me in.

She waved to some of the girls before pulling me into an unwanted hug and leaving.

I'm tired of this.

"Hey you okay?" Paige asks.

"No, not really." I say as tears start streaming down my face.

"You can always talk to me." She says rubbing my back.

We ended up hugging for awhile till I calmed down.

"Thanks." I say wiping my tears away.

"No problem. I'm always here."

I started to change for practice and took a sip of my water.

Practice ended up being light and okay.

Me and Paige decided to partner for 1v1.

"You're actually not half bad" she says guarding me.

I ended up crossing her and scoring.

"Yeah okay. "Half bad"" I say using air quotes

I ended up guarding her pretty well but she's a good player over all.

"Can I get your number?" She says stepping back then shooting.

She made it.

"Snap if you win." I say winking.

Paige ended up winning and I gave her my snap.

"luvv.bella" I say packing up.

"Let's walk together back to the dorms..or not, it doesn't matter I just.."

"Okay!" I say wrapping my arm around her.

We just kinda talked..

It was peaceful

I felt at ease.

She walked me to my dorm and hugged me goodnight.

"Night Buckets."

"Nickname basis? Bet. Night Cat."

I smile to myself as I get ready for bed.
