Chapter 8

Xavier's POV

After we paid for the food and other things we went  into the video shop. We get 5 new movies for tonight at home wit the family. We get 2 horror movies, 2 action movies and 1 comedy for my mother and the girl that's gonna stay with us for the weekend.

We were driving back home when the smell of rouges caught my nose and I sped home to warn my mother and father.

When we stop I grab my little brother and almost rip the front door off of its hinges... The moment that happens I see a flash of black hair heading for the back door and I being me think that it is a rouge. I push Tommy into my mom's arms and shift into my midnight black wolf in mere seconds, not hearing a thing my parents are trying to tell me.

I run through the room following the scent that smells like woods and wild flowers. I look in front of me there is this girl in front of me running like the devil's chasing her. I run up to her and
tackled her to the ground, I was just about to rip her apart when an ear piercing scream comes from my mother's mouth and distract me for a moment. I stand there and look back at my mother while wondering why the rouge has not shifted yet?

When I look down I look into two golden eyes, and I have only ever seen one person with eyes like that, then it suddenly  occurs to me that I just tackled Skyler. Holy fuck, my mother is gonna skin me alive and feed me to the rouges. I messed up big time!

Skyler's POV

I run outside just in time, I am about 40 meters away from the house when I hear something behind me. I am to scared to look back and just try to run faster, a few seconds later the thing is directly behind me and you won't believe what it did... the bloody thing tackled me to the ground, I mean who or what the hell does that to a girl??? Only a cold hearted monster.

It pins me down and it was just about to tear me apart when I hear Kim screaming from the direction of the house. The monster on top of me turns' its head to her and look at her like she is a crazy person before looking down, and I swear that I could see it recognizing me in its eyes, before I see horror flashing in its' eyes and it immediately climbs off of me looking down at the ground, almost like it is ashamed of what he did. I don't know what just happened but I am so glad it did. The wolf-like thing just sit down and looks at me before standing up and licking the scrapes on my arms as if it is apologizing to me.

I just stand there in shock as to what just happened, is it even possible to learn a wild animal to not hurt people or did I hit my head really hard and am busy hallucinating???

Then Kim comes rushing towards us with a little boy in her arms, the boy I helped the other day to find his parents?? Oh my word Kim and Ben are the little boy's parents, that explains why they looked so familiar to me when I first saw then together...

"What the hell is going on in that screwed up head of yours??" She yells at the wolf as if waiting for it to respond. I am so confused right now...

"YOU CAN'T JUST RUN AROUND AND ATTACK PEOPLE LIKE THAT ARE YOU CRAZY? THAT IS NOT THE WAY WE RAISED YOU, YOU JUST ALWAYS DO WHAT YOU WANT TO DO... WAST IF YOU KILLED HER? WHAT WOULD I HAVE TOLD HER PARENTS YOU MORON, THEY ARE SOME OF OUR CLOSEST AND OLDEST FRIENDS? YOU KNOW WHAT JUST LEAVE ME ALONE FOR A WHILE IF YOU KNOW WHAT IS FUCKING GOOD FOR YOU!!" She yells at the wolf like it's person and I don't understand why, because wild animals are supposed to be like that as far as I know???

"Kim don't worry it didn't hurt me, that bad.. But please don't yell at it. You should have seen how scared the wolf's eyes looked when he looked down at me.. It's really okay, besides I think it just peed itself when you yelled like that." I tell her and she laughs a little.
