Three weeks have passed since I woke up in the cell and met my new friends,"ladies and gentlemen, welcome to our annual tournament!"shouted the announcer.
As the announcer welcomed the people, the group and I headed toward the arena, but were stopped by one of the guards,"you all, stop right there! You need to sign up and say your team's name along with your names to enter the tournament!"he shouted. We saw where he was pointing at by the time he left,"sign your names and the name for your team," the man in charge of the sign up booth said firmly.
Longshot signed our names up and told us to be careful when they choose one of us to fight against other fighters,"ladies and gentlemen, thank you all for coming, now I would like to introduce the founder of the tournament, King Jocks!"the announcer shouted. We looked at the dark corner and saw King Jocks get up from his seat and introduce himself to the crowd,"Thank you. Thank you. Welcome to the annual Nightsville tournament, fighters from around the world have come to our beloved city of Nightsville to battle each other to the death! There will be fighters going back home alive and fighters suffering the consequences, now I shall let the announcer introduce the teams."
"Thank you my king, now its time to introduce our teams,in this corner....,"he kept introducing the other teams while Irons talked to us about taking down the other fighters,"Fast Chasers, run fast and keep going fast to confuse the enemy, Bricks and I will try and break the enemy by stunning his arms, Longshot, if an enemy sees you, shoot the feet so it can be hard to get up, and Jazz, try to use the attacks you used against us and make sure you give the fighters a reason to be afraid of us."
As soon as Irons finished explaining us what to do, the announcer shouted our team's name," and last but not least in this corner, we have the Lighting Squad which consists of Longshot, the Fearsome Duo, the Fast Chasers, and The Bat! Now, let the tournament begin!"
The first teams to fight were Team Chill, which consisted of ice and water powered fighters and their opponents were Team Fire, the team Irons warned us to be careful with. While both teams battled, Longshot, Fearsome Duo, Fast Chasers, and I watched as each of Team Chill's members were taken down by Team Fire, but that wasn't what surprised us, the cloaked figure joined Team Fire and he wasn't trying to make friends. The figure grabbed one of Team Chill's members and broke every bone in the fighter's body and left him lying on the ground.
My team and all the other teams stared in shock at seeing what had just happened. Before the cloaked figure left, he stared at me with disgust and went straight to his team's corner, but I didn't stop staring because the cloaked figure was talking to one of his team members while he stared at me and the figure pointed his fingers towards me, showing who I was to all of his teammates.
Mandy, Eve, Donna, and the rest of the team started getting worried about me, but right before they said anything,"sorry I took so long folks but it appears Team Fire wants to fight the Lighting Squad, so in this corner from Team Fire is Combuster!" he shouted as the crowd screamed wildly. "Don't worry kid we got this," the Fast Chasers said excitedly, but I didn't feel safe when the announcer shouted out Combuster's opponent,"ladies and gentlemen, in the Lightning Squad, allow me to present the Bat!"
The crowd stared and booed at me as I entered the arena. "Welcome to your nightmare boy!"Combuster shouted as I got in the center of the arena,"you have no idea what my nightmares are like."
