"About last night..." Feeling down of sorts, the rescued party eagerly requests to go over everything that has taken place at her family member's residence. "...Where exactly was...my Godmother found? Last I recall"
At the time, Octávia was upstairs, uncertain of what was going on downstairs at the house. Maxima tells her about the leftover takeout being left on the front porch. Next, K' breaks the sad news of discovering Denise dead in the basement near a destroyed panic room. Hurt by the reminder, Octávia is surprised to know her godmother was last seen there.
Reviewing Dénise's actions, she must have tried to warn her Goddaughter ahead of time. Yet Octávia has been left to defend herself against the enemy, either to be used as potential bait, hostage, or worse. Knowing bits of the truth, she starts to think about her family member's untimely death. 'I need to see if anything shows up on the news about this later.'
"Your turn..." A suspicious K' asks Octávia about the day that they met. He points out something that seems to be bothering him. "Whatever happened to that car?"
Shrugging her arms, she says, "I don't know. Probably still out there stranded at the Highway or towed by now. It's so weird that the car battery just ended up dying like that on the road because it was replaced ten months ago..."
"Not even a year old, is it?" Maxima asks.
Octávia nods. "That's right. So if it's still there, I need to go back and get it. It's my only means of transportation. I don't know how yet, but I'll get through this on my own."
She plasters on a brave face indicating to her rescuers that she is capable of pulling through. However, last night's encounter became a living nightmare for her to endure. 'It's just...after what happened last night...' She covers her face with her free hand. 'I lost her...And didn't do anything to save her...I feel so helpless...'
Detecting her heart rate increasing, Maxima can tell that she is stressed out. He tries to cheer her up with words of encouragement. "We did the best we could, but the enemy got to her before we did. I guess time wasn't on our side."
"I know..." Her voice cracks as she feels the stress taking a toll on her health. "I want justice for Dénise!"
"Octávia," Maxima says, "We can only do so much about the issue now. It's not like we're the police so we don't have any leads."
K' adds, "And it's not like they will believe your story either."
Hearing this echo into her ears, she is starting to get upset. Her trusted family member was murdered in cold blood. Denise's killer is still out there. She cannot let this monster roam free.
"Please," She begs. "I want to find out who those psychos are. They need to pay for what they did!" She tells them, holding back tears and clutching her hands into fists.
Seeing the hurt in her eyes, Maxima could partially relate to her loss. He had lost a close friend that had died from a tragic accident.
"We can help you get revenge," Maxima offers, "But we still don't know everything about these guys. From what we witnessed last night, those two were more than just regular people," Maxima suggests.
