" So, now what are you going to do with him?" Jeevan asked as he kept running his fingers in her hair, just like a brother.

An evil smile appeared on her face.

" With whom?" she asked.

" Huh! Arjun of course, who then?" Jeevan asked, confused.

" But who is Arjun?"

" Yaazhu? Are you lost somewhere?"

" No, I am not! Your best friend said he doesn't know me and you should believe him!" She chuckled as she wiped her tears.

" Oh my god! Do whatever you wanna do with him but at last, I want you guys to be happy!" Jeevan said standing up from his seat, to leave the room. Yaazhini just laughed.

" Good night, Yaazhu. Don't think about anything, just sleep tight!"

Yaazhini just gave him a hug.

As Jeevan left the room, Yaazhini checked her phone.

50 MISSED CALLS FROM JUNNUUU 🤍🤍

98 MESSAGES FROM JUNNUUU 🤍🤍

" I am sorry Junnu, but you have to realize what you are doing!" She muttered, though she wanted to open those messages but somehow she controlled her urge and went to sleep.

MORNING

" Alan! You f*cker!" Yaazhini shouted.

Jeevan and Andrea were taken aback because Yaazhini was not a person who would curse out loudly.

" What?" Alan rolled his eyes.

" What the f*ck is this? You are going to Germany? You didn't even care to say it to me?" Yaazhini was furious.

Yaazhini woke up late when she checked her phone; there were a few messages from their department group about a project in Germany. Dr. Bhatia has asked everyone if anyone is interested in going to Germany for a four-month project.   And Alan registered himself.

" Why do you think I should tell you?"  Alan shouted with equal ferry.

Yaazhini had tears in her eyes.

" Why are you speaking like this, Teddy? You could have told me..."  Yaazhini spoke silently.

" Oh, now you remember me?  Huh?" He laughed humorlessly.

" What do you mean, Alan?"

" Where were you yesterday?" He asked without showing any emotion on his face.

A guilty conscience needs no accuser

" Where were you yesterday, Yaazhini?" This time his voice went octaves higher.

" Diwa..li.. Party..."

" Why do you stutter?" He asked with an unknown emotion.

Maybe betrayed? Angry? Protective?

Only he knows.

" You spoke with him even after I warned you about him, didn't you?"

" Ala..." He cut her of.

" That's fine; that's fine. That's totally your wish and yeah, it's your freedom. I won't be a barrier, but you hid everything from me didn't you?"

" No, Ala..."

" Please, Yaalini. I don't want to hear anything from you. I feel betrayed! I thought I was your best friend, but what did you just do? You prioritized him over me, right? Make Jeevan your best friend from now on; you don't need me! I will just leave from here..."  Alan spoke and exited the house quickly. It took Jeevan and Andrea a few minutes to understand what was happening around them.  It was the door's sound that brought them to the reality.
