After what felt like an eternity, Nithin finally returned to the office with a serious expression on his face, holding the CT scan results.

"Okay, Sakthi," Nithin began, sitting at his desk and turning on the monitor to display the CT images. "I've reviewed the scans, and I need to discuss what we found."

Sakthi asked. "Is it serious?"

"What we see here is unusual. A foreign object is embedded in the subcutaneous tissue near the chest. It appears cylindrical, about the size of a small capsule, and it has irregular edges."

Sakthi forced herself to maintain composure with an expression of shock. "What does that mean? Could it be dangerous?"

Nithin nodded  " At this point, I can't say for sure if it's dangerous."

Arjun's eyes widened. "What kind of foreign object could it be?"

Nithin paused, his expression becoming more serious. "That's the troubling part. It doesn't resemble any known medical implant, nor does it appear to be something that would typically be found in a human body. It looks more like... a device of some sort. The irregular edges suggest it wasn't designed for medical use."

"So, what do we do now?"

"It's embedded in the subcutaneous tissue, just under the skin near your chest wall. It hasn't migrated into any vital organs, which is good. However, anything foreign like this can pose risks especially since it's so close to your ribs and lungs. There's a slight chance it could cause inflammation or pressure on nearby tissues, which might explain your recent symptoms. That shoulder pain, and chest tightness, could be related to this.

" So what is next? Should we remove it?" Arjun questioned.

" Yes, of course, she has to undergo surgery. Given its position and the fact that we don't know how long it's been there or what it's made of, I recommend removing it. It's likely what's causing some of your discomfort, even if your vital signs are normal. Plus, there's always a risk of infection or object shifting if we leave it in place for too long. Also, a layer of fibrous tissue has formed around and calcified. So it is very crucial to remove it as soon as possible. " Nithin said.

Sakthi, knowing this was part of the plan but still playing her role, asked hesitantly, "Is the surgery risky?"

"It's not as invasive as heart surgery, which is a relief," Nithin reassured her.

"Since it's in the subcutaneous tissue and hasn't integrated with major blood vessels or nerves, the procedure itself is relatively straightforward. We would make a small incision, remove the object, and then close the wound. You would need to stay in Post OP care for a few days for observation "

Sakthi glanced at Arjun, who gave her a reassuring nod. "And recovery?" she asked.

"You'll experience some discomfort at the site of the incision, but that should subside within a few days to a week," Nithin explained.

"The key will be monitoring the area for any signs of infection swelling, redness, or unusual pain. We'll also run tests on the object once it's removed to understand exactly what it is."

Sakthi nodded slowly, pretending to absorb the weight of the situation.

"Okay. If you think it's best, then let's proceed with the surgery."

Nithin placed a hand on her shoulder, giving her a supportive squeeze. "We'll take care of you, Sakthi. We'll schedule the surgery as soon as possible. In the meantime, take it easy, and try not to worry too much. We'll get to the bottom of this."

" But do you have any idea about the object or its entry? Because it is not possible to insert it without incision. As far as I remember you didn't have any medical condition or surgery after you came here." Nithin inquired.
