Kisaita: Burdened

Chapter 5

It's the next morning and Itachi is still in the hospital breastfeeding his newborn son Shizuma, Itachi would have to stay at the hospital for a whole week due to the stress of the delivery.

Itachi looks over to Kisame who was sleeping peacefully on the couch, he then grabs one of the stress balls and throws it at him and says, "Kisame wake up." Kisame then jumps to his feet and says, "Yes babe, do you need anything?" Itachi smiles and says, "Some tri color dango does sounds good right now... Ah nevermind it's not that important." Kisame smirks and says, "I'll get them right away, actually let me change out of my uniform real quick and then your wish is my command." As Kisame goes into the bathroom with his stuff to get ready for the day, Itachi looks down at Shizuma and admires his beautiful blue eyes.

As Kisame leaves to go get Itachi some dango he pulls out a small box from his pocket and opens it to reveal a red ruby ring with small diamonds around the band, this was his mother's ring and now it will be Itachi's.

Shizuma has been feed and Itachi refuses to let go of him, a nurse wanted to take him to the nursery so Itachi could sleep which he politely yet sternly declined, besides Itachi and Shizuma are enjoying the skin to skin contact. As they are bonding there's a knock on the door, "Itachi it's Sasuke, can I come in please." Itachi says yes and Sasuke enters his brothers hospital room and is in awe from the sight, "Shizuma is so cute Itachi, how have you been?" Itachi smiles and says, "I've been good, Kisame went to get me some dango however I am so hungry. Can you do me a favor?" Sasuke nods and says, "Sure Itachi, what is it?" Itachi replies, "Can you please feed me, I am so hungry." Sasuke nods and goes to get some hospital food, Itachi then places Shizuma onto his cot and leans back to relax.

Sasuke comes back with a tray of food that Itachi would like, luckily the hospital had a lot of cabbage and rice balls. Sasuke then starts feeding Itachi the miso soup first, as he's feeding his brother all Sasuke can think is how strong Itachi is, after Shisui's death he literally thought that Itachi would follow him yet he had Izuna and then fell in love with Kisame years later and had Shizuma. Sasuke then says, "Elder brother are you happy with how your life turned out?" Itachi smiles as he looks at Sasuke and says, "It didn't turn out like I thought it would, but I am the happiest person on earth." Sasuke smiles and goes back to feeding Itachi.

Meanwhile at the dango shop Kisame bought a whole box of tri colored dango for Itachi, anything for him Kisame thought. As Kisame leaves the shop and is walking back to the hospital he is thinking of romantic ways to propose to Itachi.

After Itachi ate the brothers were looking at a sleeping Shizuma, "Do you think he'll have a blue sharingan Itachi?" Itachi chuckles and says, "I don't think so probably the standard color red, but that would be cool." Shizuma then stirs and started crying, Sasuke picks him up and says, "For some tinny lungs he sure does have a voice." Itachi looks at him and says, "He's fourteen pounds Sasuke, those lungs are at least five." Sasuke looks at Shizuma and takes a mental note on why he doesn't want kids, "Number five the baby will scream all through out the night."

Kisame returned to the hospital room with the dango's and said, "I bear gifts." Itachi smiles while Sasuke looks scared holding Shizuma, Kisame hands the box to Itachi and takes his son in his arms.

Meanwhile in the mist as Miru packs to head to Konoha she stops as realizes that going there would be a bad Idea after all, she puts her clothes back to her drawers and says, "If I go there the odds of bringing Kisame back is slim to none, but he's only there for a short while before he has to come back to the mist and tie up loose ends. Kisame was only granted a four week visa to Konoha, that's when I'll make my move."

One week has passed and Itachi was discharged from the hospital and went home, Kisame is everyone's dream man as he cleans up the house, does the dishes, cooks amazing meals, is a wonderful stepfather to Izuna, takes out the garbage, and because he is shark-like he only needs ten minutes of sleep and is well rested which means that he is solely night duty to take care of Shizuma, When Itachi found out he got on his knees and thanked God.
