Avantika's Pov:

I took a deep breathe and again repeated the same words which I said 3 times to this mother's son " Aunty I don't know how to cook"

She looked at me and said" Who is Aunty?"

I frowned and said"You?"

"I am not an 'aunty' call me ma" she said.

"Ma?" I said testing the words.

" yeah" she said with big smile.

"Don't worry we'll help you, come" she said and helped through out.

On the other hand Mahi cooked all by her own.

Shivanshi aunty and I cooked Kheer and Mahi cooked halwa.

Shivanshi aunty then called the workers and told them to take the food items to the table.

We all settled down on the table and had our breakfast. Later the desert was served.

Everyone seemed to enjoy the deserts, my lips turned into a smile when they tasted it.

"It's soo good Avantika" Aadarsh's father said although I didn't like him I replied because he is elder to me. "Thank you uncle, But Shivanshi Aunty did most of the work."

"Oh come on, I just gave the instructions. You did the whole work" she said to which I just smiled in reply.

" But a Bahu should know how to cook!" Said an Elderly lady sitting beside Aadarsh's Grandpa.

Oh , ofcourse she is his grandmother.

"It's fine Dadi, she is young and Also ma is there to teach her incase she wants to. " Aadarsh said getting up from the table.

He kissed his mother on his cheek and bid byes saying he was going to office.

No one spoke afterthat.

"Avantika beta come here" Shivanshi Aunty 

She led me to the lounge.

Soon all members came with boxes in their hands.

"These are gifts for our Badi bahu" Shivanshi Aunty said while forwarding the box which was in her arms.

"Sorry Aunty but I can't take this."I said.

"First of all stop calling me aunty and call me Maa and also it's a mandatory thing, to take gifts from elders as these are considered as blessings." She said with a stern face.

I sighed and smiled at her.

One by one all of them gave me the gifts.

I frowned when no one gave gifts to Mahi
"I got them yesterday " Mahi said with smile.

"Oh ok" I said.

Then Anusaya, Pritee and Mahi helped me to get the gifts to my room. My room, feels odd.

"Ok then we'll leave now." Anusaya said as she got up but I stopped her.

"Why don't you guys stay for a little more" I said and their face turned into surprise.

"Am I dreaming, Pinch me Anusaya" said Pritee to which I frowned,

" Why?" I asked not getting it.

"Yesterday you.... didn't even talk to us ." Anusaya said stretching each word.

Maybe I  shouldn't have been that rude.

"I am.... sorry" I said lowering my head. I shouldn't have been rude to them. They were not at fault.
