"We were." She said casually and got up and started arranging the gifts.

I also got up and walked behind her. "Then are you not angry or sad with all this?"

"I would say........I was shocked.....but I had a crush on Kiran since childhood. "She said shrugging.

"What? You had a crush on the person who was going to be your brother in law?" I was beyond shocked.

"Well~ All this was a arranged marriage thing. At last God tied me up with the man of my dreams." She said blushing.

Great.

" Chalo, Atleast someone is happy" I said.

She just game me a cheeky smile.

"So, how are things going between you and Bhai sa?" She said referring to my So-called-husband. I rolled my eyes at the thought.

" I don't know, I just want to end this thing asap. " I said.

" What do you mean" she said pulling me by my arm and making me sit on the couch.

"What I mean is I can't wait to divorce your 'bhai sa.'  " I said with a fake cheering sound.

And then she laughed.
My face twisted in confusion.
What's funny about it.

"Why are you laughing?" I asked.

"Here divorce doesn't happen Avantika. A divorce was never taken in this Khandan and will never be taken as far as I know them" Mahi said.

"But-" I was about to continue when I saw ma ji coming into my room. She insisted me to call her that and I couldn't say no.

"Both of you come downstairs and lets have some tea together." She said and excitedly went out.

The rest of the morning, we spent talking and then had lunch.

After lunch I slept in the afternoon due to headache.

Then in the evening Anusaya and Pritee came back and told me about their University.

It was evening when I came back into my room and had a bath.

I changed into something comfortable and slept on the bed on my stomach and started reading a novel which Anusaya got me.

And trust me, it was not so innocent book.

I was engrossed in reading that I didn't notice when the door opened and closed.

Suddenly I felt weight on back and his cologne surrounded me. He snatched the book from my hand and started reading it. Shit!

Avantika's Pov ends.

Aadarsh's pov.

I was in my office but I couldn't take my mind off her.

What the hell is she even doing to my mind?

Arghhhhhhhh.

I threw a few files down my table just then Jaideep entered into my room and looked at the mess.

"What happened Aadarsh?" He said taking a seat across me.

He wasn't shocked cuz he has seen the worst of me.

"I don't know." I said walking out of room and looked out of the huge glass window.

" Is it about bhabhi?" He said.

And I don't know why but I couldn't help the smile that formed on my face.

"Oh my god. My purpose on earth is completed. I could now die without any regret. I saw the mighty Aadarsh smiling. Am I dreaming?" He said to which I rolled my eyes.

It's true I don't smile much but I don't know why she is making me do things which I am not used to.

"Do you like her Aadarsh?"Jaideep asked after a few minutes of silence.

" I guess I do" I said honestly and sighed.

" I know that the marriage occurred without consent of both of you guys. But you didn't love Mahi so it shouldn't be a problem. And we don't know about her but now she is your wife. Give this marriage a chance" he said.

It's true that I wasn't attracted to any person till now except her. Mahi was just someone I chose to play the role of my wife. I never liked her in that way. So I will give this marriage a chance. I will. I am a man of traditions and I respect this sacred relationship.

"Even if she liked someone she'll HAVE to forget him otherwise I'll kill him infront of her" I said darkly.

Jaideep just sighed looking at me then he got a call from his wife saying Zain, their son is sick.

He left after that.

I never felt like this ever in my life. It was 7pm.

I picked up my coat and left for home.

I sighed. This was the first time I am going home this early.

I went straight into my room to see her engrossed in reading something.

I looked at her and thought of a plan to tease her.

She was sleeping on her elbows, holding the book.

I climbed the bed and laid on her back and put my weight not whole so as to not crush her.

I snatched the book and looked at what she was reading and girl!!!!!

" _He kissed me hard and pushed me on the bed. He then climbed between my legs_ "

She shouted " Hey give that back to me"

I threw the book onto the couch and flipped her so that she was facing her.

" You know we are married and could do that" I said teasing her.

To my surprise she blushed and averted her gaze looking at my chest.

I chucked looking at her a few minutes ago she was reading such dirty stuff and now she is shying away just by looking me.

She blushed harder seeing me laugh and tried to push me with her arms.

"I mean it baby and i am ready when ever you order" I said and licked her earlobe and got up and went straight into the bathroom to take a cold shower.

Fuck. When did she took control over me.

Aadarsh's Pov ends.

Avantika's pov:

What the hell just happened.

You can't give up easily Avanti.

You have a dream and your focus should only be on that.

I heard the shower turn off and he came out wearing clothes this time unlike the morning.

Thank God.

He went infront of the dressing table and started styling his hair.

"Aadarsh" I called him.

His actions froze.

He turned and looked at me.

"Say it again " He said.

"What?"

" my name"

I frowned at his request. " Aadarsh?" I said. Maybe I pronounced his name wrong.

His eyes darkened. He closed his eyes and then opened them again.

"What?" He asked softly.

"My phone. Please give it to me. " I requested him. My parents and friends must be worried.

"Why?"

" I want to talk to my parents " I said.

" they'll come tomorrow. Talk to them, then" he said and turned to look at himself in the mirror.

" They are what?" I shouted getting up from the bed and walked towards him.
