The Forbidden Love of Ryle and Anne

The small chatters were silenced when the teacher walked in.

"Okay, class. You are going to graduate in a few months. For your final project, you need to make a presentation."

The professor says as he writes the topic of the project on the board.

"It should be about your experiences in college. It could be in the form of video or PowerPoint. If it's a PowerPoint, it should be 5 pages long. If it's a video, the minimum length is 5 minutes. There is no maximum."

He turns to the class and closes the marker, placing it on his desk.

"It is a group project. You will all be graded individually, however. This is worth 10% of your final grade so be creative."

He takes a clipboard from his table and scans the names listed. He had already grouped them all so all that was left is to tell them.

"Group 1: Ryle, Mikhail, Gera, Chloe, Denise, and Maiah."

As the teacher continues talking, the six turn to each other and grin, happy that they are with their friends.

"So how are we going to do the project?" Gera asked, sitting cross-legged on Ryle's couch with a pillow in her arms.

"Video nalang guys. Ang boring ng presentation." Mikhail suggested from the floor.

"Presentation is more efficient. It's also more professional." Says Maiah.

"Wag na. Let's do video nalang." Chloe agreed, not wanting to trouble herself by making a presentation.

"Lazy ass." Maiah mumbled, earning a smack on her head with a pillow from Chloe.

"Where are we going to record? Bawal dito. Mapapagalitan tayo ni papa." Ryle says, looking at each of his friends.

"Sa house ko nalang. Good environment siya. Quiet and clean." Chloe suggested.

"Okay. Dun nalang tayo mag meet."

"Kuya! Do you have money?" Gab asks as he emerged from the stairs looking like he was about to go out.

"No! Ask papa." Ryle glared.

"Gab, wag mo kulitin si Ryle. Nandito friends niya." Yuan scolded.

"Here. Take this nalang. Don't bother na your kuya." He took out his wallet and gave a few hundred to Gab, making sure it was enough for the day.

"Salamat papa. I'm leaving na po." He waved and ran out of the front door.

"Hi Tito Yu!" Chloe greeted with a smile.

Ryle sat on the swings with Maiah and Mikhail beside him. They were at the park in front of Maiah's house, waiting for the time when they could arrive at Chloe's.

"I suddenly can't remember what I experienced..." Maiah says groggily. She had stayed up late playing and therefore got only 4 hours of sleep.

"Amnesia na yan." Mikhail joked, laughing as she did so.

"Oo. May amnesia na ako." Maiah agreed.

Realizing that Ryle has been silent, they both turned to him and saw a frown on his face.

"Are you okay?" Maiah asked as she put her feet down and stopped the swing.

"20 na ako. I still don't have a girlfriend." He says, seemingly in disbelief.

He was handsome. Or cute. Maybe both.

He was nice and is a funny guy. He could be a gentleman and he's sweet with the ladies.
