The morning quickly came and Mikhail was already out of bed and fully dressed.

She wanted to leave early before she could see Chloe's parents to avoid the awkwardness.

After doing one final check to make sure she didn't leave anything, she left the room and slowly tiptoed down the stairs to avoid any unnecessary noise.

What she didn't know was that Chloe's parents rise as early as possible and were waiting downstairs for Anne with breakfast.

As she got to the last step, she jumped at the voice that spoke up behind her.

"Mikhail, gising ka na pala."

Turning around, she came face to face with Chloe's dad.

"Ah, hi po, tito. Opo, maaga po akong nagising."

"Kung gayun, tara sumabay ka na kumain. May naihandang almusal yung asawa ko." The man says, gesturing to the doorway leading to the dining area.

"Ay, sige po."

Mikhail knew she didn't have to agree. But she was starving and wanted to see Chloe before she left.

She was led into the dining area and took a seat beside Chloe's mother.

"Good morning po. Ako po si Mikhail. Kaibigan po ni Chloe." She introduces herself to the woman, head slightly bowed.

"Good morning, nak. Hintayin muna natin magising si Anne. Okay lang ba yun?"

Mikhail nods with a small smile.

"Ilang taon ka na?" She asks as she fixes the dishes set out on the table.

"20 po, tita."

The small talk continued until Anne appeared on the doorway, face bare of all makeup and in pajamas.

"Good morning ma, dad." She greeted in a low, hoarse voice as she went to take a glass.

"Anne, may bisita tayo." Chloe's dad speaks up, handing Anne the water pitcher.

Glancing at the table, Anne's eyes widen in surprise for a moment before she smiled.

She filled up her glass first before saying something.

"Hi! Ikaw si Mikhail diba?"

"Ay, oo. Good morning."

"Bakit ka nandito?" Anne asks, sitting down in the chair across from her.

"Hinatid ko si Chloe kagabi. Medyo late na nun so dito nalang ako natulog."

"Ah. Kamusta yung project niyo?"

"Okay naman." Mikhail says, lying but hiding it with a small smile.

They honestly forgot about the project with everything that's been happening.

It was due in a few days so they would have to hurry.

Before the family could ask any more questions, a crash was heard from the living room.

They all rushed in to see what the commotion was but only found Chloe on the ground with a broom not too far from her feet.

"Tanga, anong nangyari sayo?" Anne asks through a laugh, bringing out her phone to take a picture.

"Akala ko kama ko yung sahig." Chloe says sarcastically, already having a bad morning.

"Nak, seryoso. Anong nangyari?" Their mom asks as she helps Chloe off the floor.

"Napatid po yung paa ko sa walis." The 20 year old explained briefly, pointing to the broom on the floor.

"Nakahanda na yung pagkain. Si Mikhail din nandito." Chloe's dad spoke, gesturing to the other 20 year old.
