"Ayieeee! May date na siya!" Chloe teased as he entered the house.

"Date? Anong date?"

"You exchanged numbers!"

"Nag eavesdrop kayo?!"

"Oo."

"Mga siraulo." Ryle grumbled and hit each one of them in the head.

"Call her ah!" Mikhail reminded.

"Oo na!"

It was evening. Ryle was sitting on his bed, scrolling through his phone. He wanted to call Anne but was unsure if he could.

He texted instead, introducing himself.

Ryle: hi! Ako si Ryle. Chloe's friend.

She read the message but didn't reply.

Not a moment later, his phone started to ring. It was Anne. He swallowed and cleared his voice before answering.

"Hi! How are you?" She asked through the phone, her voice cheery and energetic.

"I'm okay. You?"

"I'm good! So I heard from Chloe that you two are friends."

"Yes, we are." Ryle nodded even though she couldn't see it.

"She says you have been friends since high school."

"Yeah. We also decided to go to the same University."

"Why is that?"

"We had the same dream school. And pumasa kaming dalawa."

He heard her chuckle and hearing it sent him to cloud nine. She had the voice of an angel.

"Hey so uhm, can we meet? I want to more about you." She suddenly asked, sounding unsure.

"Yeah, sure. Kelan?" He didn't hesitate to agree. He knew that he liked her. And he knew that he wanted to see her.

"Pwede the day after tomorrow? At 4:00?"

"Sure. See you then."

The line cut and his smile grew into a grin.

He jumped around and started to punch the air, glad that he is able to meet her.

"Nak, what are you doing?" Samantha knocked.

"Umm, I'm just exercising ma." He quickly said.

"Okay, come down na. We'll have dinner."

"I'll be there in five minutes."

When he heard the sound of his mom's footsteps on the stairs, he grabbed his phone and called the group chat.

"Ano?" Gera was the first to pick up.

Mikhail and Maiah followed, Chloe being the last to answer.

"Guys may balita ako."

"Ano?"

"I'm meeting Anne." Ryle announced.

"Ayieeee! Crush mo na siya!" Mikhail was the first to speak.

Ryle nodded while trying to hide his smile.

"Kelan? Kelan?"

"Day after tomorrow. 4pm."

"Uyyy, may date na siya!" Maiah teased.

"Wow, congrats. Hard to get yan si Anne. Magpasalamat ka sa Diyos." Chloe says, not sounding excited.
