The lone wolf

Chapter 6

Chopper and I neared the marine base, we could see into the court yard from the hill we ran over, it did not look good. Luffy was trapped in a sea-stone net and Ussop was handcuffed beside him, Zoro Nami and Sanji were completely surrounded by way too many marines. Sanji was badly injured from protecting Nami and Zoro wasn't doing to good either, he seemed to have received numerous small cuts and they were starting to take there toll on him.
Chopper was panicking, he couldn't figure out how we would get over the base walls or how we could beat so many marines. I had no concerns.
"Hold on Chopper, we're jumping over"
Before he could respond I ran full speed down the hill shifting in to my true lycan form.

Chopper POV
Sakura said we were jumping over the wall! How? The walls are incredibly high but before i could say anything she started running down the hill. We are not going to make it!!
Just then Sakura's bones started to shift beneath my hooves, her whole body expanded and elongated till she transformed in to this GIGANTIC wolf! She still looked like a normal brown wolf but was bigger than a horse and this powerful aura emanated of her, just then we reached the wall and she jumped.

Sakura POV
I could feel Choppers shock once I transformed but that was not primary concern. We reached the wall and I jumped clean over it landing easily on the other side. I let out an almighty roar and crouched ready to fight fiercely snarling at the group of marines.
"What the hell is that?"
"It must be a demon!"
The marines were in shock over seeing a giant wolf land in their base but I guess that's not an every day occurrence.
Some of the marines that were swarming Zoro and Sanji broke apart from the group and trained their guns on me, I held my stance staring them down, never blinking even once I felt the pounding of their bullets upon me. The metal pierced my skin but I held my position through the biting sting.
Once the onslaught ended the marines just stood there waiting for me to collapse, a hungry wolfish grin spread over my face as my wounds healed, the bullets dropping out of them and to the ground.
My turn.
With a a fierce growl I lunged at the group of marines that just shot at me and tore them with tooth and claw, Chopper had jumped of my back and went to help Luffy and Ussop while explaining how I was the giant wolf. I charged the group surrounding Zoro, Sanji and Nami then turned back to my human form withdrawing my dual blades
"You guys alright?"
Zoro gave a grunt before replying "we were managing fine"
This aggravated me, so much so that I wasn't paying attention to my surroundings and nearly got sliced by a marine if I hadn't moved last minute and slashed back at him. Chopper had managed to free Ussop then Ussop got the net of Luffy, with all of us in action we were making short work of the marines, as I got nearer the base building though I started to feel weaker, nauseated even, in my haze a marine managed to slash my shoulder and sent me spinning to the ground.
My head was spinning, I couldn't concentrate and my shoulder wouldn't stop hurting, the wound wasn't healing. The marine that slashed me raised his sword and brought it down, I managed to deflect him with my blades the first two times but come the third swing I was weakening and he knocked my blades from me, I couldn't defend myself, I was nauseated, vision going, breathing became difficult, as I saw the marine swing his sword again I accepted my fate but it was not to be.

As I stared at the sword coming down a green blur darted across the corner of my eye to be met with a metallic screech. I focused my vision enough to see Zoro in front of me blocking the marines blade with two of his, he pushed the marine back with his blades then slashed at him, he battled the other marines now closing in on us, easily defeating them, he seethed his blades as the rest of the crew won against the remaining marines and came towards me, he stooped and picked me up bridal style, I looked up Zoro and smirked,
"I was managing fine"
All he did was grunt unbelieving at me. Darkness started to claim my vision as I heard Chopper running toward us asking what happened to me, as I flopped my head to the side to look at him I spotted the culprit to my weakness but before blacking out all I could muster to say was "flower"

Zoro POV
Sakura passed out in my arms only uttering the word flower, what the hell that to do with anything? To see her so easily over powered by a single marine was shocking especially after seeing her in that giant wolf form. I'm still distrustful of her but she came back to help us so I couldn't leave her to be cut down. Chopper quickly attended to her shoulder wound to stem the bleeding until we got back to the ship, as Chopper did this I looked round and just to the side of us was a patch of grass by the base building and growing there was a purple hood shaped flower, was this what she meant? I picked a couple and handed them to Chopper to examine back on the ship. Everyone was concerned over Sakura's sudden condition and she seemed to be getting worse, I picked her up again and we hurried to the ship before we ran into anymore trouble and to attend to Sakura while there was time.
