The dark streets of Rome, Italy were quiet. The roads barely lit by the torches hanging overhead as a thick and heavy fog weaves its way through the alleyways and between parked cars.
The fog seems to be thickest on Cherry Street. If you were to try to walk through it, you would immediately become lost in it, and doing so would mean your death.
This fog is not normal. If you had been unlucky enough to be out on the streets, you would have seen a tall man in a trench coat come out of it.
When his eyes came into focus, he looked up at the tallest house located on the street. There are many tall structures in Rome, but to the man, this house was the one most precious to him.
For in this house, is the family that he will be 'taking care of.' He is always careful about how he chooses his targets.
His skin buzzed with excitement as he thought of the many ways he could eliminate this target.
He put his hands in his deep pockets as he listened to the noises inside.
(Inside the house)
"Where are you, My Little Bumblebee?" a sweet voice called. Judging from the sound, the woman was in her late twenties, early thirties. She had long, flowing, golden brown hair. Her eyes were a light green and reflected the light to perfection. She was tall and slim, with only a slight bit of weight to her. In her prime, she had many suitors.
"We have already found the Butterfly. Now where is the Bumblebee?" a male voice called. His voice is soft has well, but with a rough edge to it. He is in his late thirties. He, on the other hand, had dark brown hair that came down to his shoulders, which he always kept in a low ponytail. His eyes were a dark brown that lightened slightly in the sun. He had some weight to him, but not so much you could not put your arms around him. He was not the best looking man, but handsome none the less.
A little girl is following the male around the house as he and his wife search for their eldest daughter and giggles as her father makes the comment. It is past their daughters bedtime, but they had begged for one finale game of hide-and-seek and their parents knew that they would not go to bed without it.
The little girl resembled her father in appearance in so many ways, with very little of her mother in her.
The youngest daughter was slightly upset when she was found, but knew that her elder sister was the best at hide-and-seek and it would be some time before they could find her. She also knew her sister was not one to give up, so as long as she stayed hidden, their game could very well last all night. However, she would come out when her parents gave up their search. Not when they were around, though, out of stubbornness that she had inherited from her mother in not wanting to loose her prized hiding place.
The eldest daughter was pretty like her mother, but her appearance was entirely her own. Her hair was long and was just golden, very soft to the touch. She was tall and slim as well, but she was much lighter than her mother. Her eyes were a beautiful sky blue that shown best when in the moonlight. Her face was well rounded with just the right amount of coloring to make her beauty even more outstanding.
She had a gentle way about her, and was always kind to others. She had many men asking for her hand in marriage, but she had graciously refused them all. The thing that set her apart most from everyone else, though, was the fact that she was not vain about her beauty. In fact, she thought herself ordinary.
Their eldest daughter was much older than her younger sister, coming as a surprise to the family, but loved all the same. The eldest had only played this game because it was what her sister had wanted. She had a habit of putting others long before her.
